I'm sure most of you may remember the childhood card games of Old Maid and Go Fish. But there is one that my mom and I would play. It was pictures of old classic authors. And I think it was played like one of the ones I mentioned before. Does anyone remember it?

You got me interested so jsut for you from the Internet. The card game featuring classic authors is called "Authors," which dates back to 1861. Players collect sets of cards representing famous writers and their notable works, making it both educational and entertaining.

All I know is war, it was the easiest game to play and no one yelled at me, so I liked it. Looks like someone gave you an interesting one. I am not sure if it is the right one but people do similar games and have different names if you know what I mean.

I hear that , then you have to remember the strategies or learn it. Have you ever played spades? In Marines they use to get in so many arguments. I hate that game now. They have so many strategies and you are with a partner. They always yelling why did you do that. You blocked me so bad. Its all I had. We will see and then point out how your move was so wrong at end of the hand. What ever dude, I am about done with this game. You guys take the fun out of everything is what I would always say. It just a card game.

No, but it sounds like something I’d absolutely love, as would my sister.

@celticeagle I don't remember ..that was a billion years ago. My sister might though. She has a nearly infallible memory. I could ask her if you want me to.

We don't have such card games here but I saw them being played in the movies I saw.

It seems others remember it. It doesn't ring any bells with me.
