Happy Samhain/ Halloween to all those observing this day. It has been about two weeks since hubby and I went to Canada. He has been a little ill since then. Last Thursday he was super not well. Due to his first ER visit he vowed to never return. BUT I was the meanie. I am mean. I couldn't get him out of bed so I did it. I called Emergency. Some fine people came and hauled him to the hospital. He woke enough to yell NO! I said to move him anyway. I am too shaky to drive and it was dark out. I called friend. She grabbed her purse and zipped over and got me to the hospital. Total angel. Hubby has pneumonia and a UTI. Another friend got me back to see him yesterday. He was tons better- making jokes about his very hoarse voice etc. Thank God. He may come home today. Doc has to say yes of course. So I wait. Probably once he is home we will have a battle cause at least for the first night I would like him to sleep downstairs. Get him home first....

Oh, I am so glad you were a meanie! Pneumonia is bad enough, but my dad’s friend had a UTI so severe he was out of his head so bad they had to restrain him in the hospital because he was flopping himself out of bed! Until then, I didn’t realize a UTI could do that.

@sallypup That’s so scary. My stepmom has had a rash of them lately.

@AmbiePam A couple of years ago I learned that UTIs contribute to dementia. I think it has something to do with the connecting nerves in our bodies.

I'm so glad he's doing better. Get those boxing gloves though, you need to win that battle.

You saved his life and that is wonderful. I hope you both don't have a fight I am sure he knows you did this out of love for him. Many blessings to you both.

I am sorry he was so sick, but good for you for calling for help and getting him to the hospital, he definitely needed to be there. I am glad your sweet friend helped you, hopefully he will get to come home soon. Don't forget to take care of you, too!

@Wrexxo I wish you could be here. You'd be a huge help. Thanks cause it hurt hearing hubby yelling at the EMTs.
