She’s back (And better than ever) / myLot

I was supposed to get her Tuesday, a day or so after vacation was over, but something happened, and it got put off. The rest of the week I tried to be really open to any time my friend could meet, but finally today she said if I wanted to she’d actually be home today and not on call (she’s a nurse). So I made my way to Tuttle to see her new place, and to pick up Sadie. The first thing I did was take her to get a bath (plus she needs a nail trim and I leave that to the pros)! She stunk from being with all of my friend’s dogs. I got her home, and she gave me side eye for a bit. No joke, this dog can do side eye which I didn’t realize until today. I’m SO glad to have her home!

I am sure she is glad to be home as well. After awhile it will seem to her and you like she was never gone. What did you think of friend's new place?

It’s nice, but she went from 5 acres to 2, and that was a big change. The out buildings are much nicer, and it will be easier to keep the goats contained. The house, though smaller, IS nicer. Overall, she traded down and she knows it. But they were going to put down the dogs she couldn’t find other homes for (no kill shelters were either full or asked for money to take them), and she couldn’t bear that.

Seriously, Mom? You ignore me for that long and then you make me take a bath?? Next time I’ll just go with you and avoid the bath! I’m glad your baby Sadie is home with you now.
