Almost every day, I hear sirens...
Firetruck sirens....
And it is not our fire month. We usually have most fires from March to May, but of course accidents do happen. But recently, there has almost always been a fire every day. Could it be because of the heat?
Normally, during this month, our weather is dry and cool. But it is usually cooler in the early mornings and late evenings. The rest of the day is filled with sun and the heat that it brings. Two days ago, we had a drizzle early in the morning but not enough to really wet the grounds. But other than that, it is hot.

There's a reason why fire prevention month is in March. It's because of the coming summer season. And since it's like summer nowadays because of the El Niño phenomenon, then it is most likely that the fires happening around you can be due to the extreme heat.

We're having weather that is basically September weather and it's already November. We haven't had rain in almost 3 weeks and we might get rain before the week is over. I'm enjoying this beautiful weather and wish it could last all year,

It is horrendous when fire happens in densely residential area because harder for the firemen to put it off

I can’t imagine the heat you must have. I mean we have heat and humidity galore in my particular state, but at least we get two solid months of much cooler weather. It sounds like sometimes you guys get no respite at all.
The sirens I hear most are tornado sirens. Emergency sirens here aren’t heard as much now since the hospital down the street changed locations.

We don't hear sirens too often out here.
