When does your tree go up?

My sister posted a picture of her Christmas tree. It’s way early, but apparently the kids asked her too, and she gave in. What surprised me is that she not only bought a pre lit tree, she went with decorations like these. She’s big on silver, do these just LOOK gold?I like it, but I look forward to see my stepmom’s tree. It’s large, she puts mismatched ornaments on it, and it looks really homey. But if I had three kids like my sister, I might go with a skinny, pre lit tree too! It’s better than mine!

It is beautiful, but skinny. I was out at the permanent yard sale place today and got intrigued with a silver and blue garland that would great on my tree. It was very long though. I know Nico would be attracted to it..so..best not purchase. Tree up after Tgiving..what about you?

Yeah, it sounds beautiful, but Nico might make you regret it. I love silver and blue though.
I gave my four foot purple tree to my oldest niece about five years ago, but this year I did get a two foot tree, free for review. It’s pre lit with berries, and I’ll probably put it out Thanksgiving Day. I might use my earrings as ornaments, depending in how corny it looks. I did that once before on a one feet tree I had, and it looked great, but it wasn’t a green tree.

That’s a very pretty tree. I try and get The Mister to put our tree up the 1st of December…well, with him working away, the first weekend in December …he thinks it’s too early really but I talk him around.

I thought it looked gold too. I just remember a few years ago I got them a free star to put on the top of the tree, and it showed pictures of Christmas scenes on the walls when plugged in. The kids loved it, but it was gold so she nixed it. Maybe she’s changed her mind….

The tree is lovely. I was going to say what tree where? Is another holiday upon us. This year I am considering perhaps a small premade tree so I can sit and watch Christmas movies and blubber.

Back when we used to do a Christmas tree it was always on the day after Thanksgiving, but we haven’t done a Christmas tree or Christmas decorating for many years

It's usually September here for the Christmas enthusiasts. But in our home when we still celebrated Christmas, it's November after the All Soul's day.

Autumn fog and rain is coming in. I'm starting to crave soft white lights and silly ornaments on a tree. I won't put the tree up until Thanksgiving night or the morning after. We don't have a big holiday meal so Thanksgiving is really just another day for us but sentiment keeps me to a certain time frame.

That's a tall tree. We have an artificial tree and mismatched ornaments. It's about half that height.

Wow that's a skinny tree, we don't have a set time these days when we put it up, not too early though

As much as I love Thanksgiving, it bugs me we generally only get a month to “officially” celebrate such a joyous holiday as Christmas. I’d much rather have longer to fully embrace the spirit.
