@Traceyjayne I too love it with pears. I prefer pears in halves rather than quarters. That way you can put the pears in the bowl so that the milk pools in the centre piece of each half. Don’t ask me why, but it tastes better. Carnation milk is expensive now, so I get Tesco’s own brand. Bigger tin and less cost.

I haven’t had that for many years ….The Mister has it sometimes as he has tinned pears and evaporated milk for a dessert if he doesn’t like what Mom and I are having.

You can get lactose-free milk or cream. Alternatively you can take a lactase tablet and drink normal milk or cream. There are also plant based milks and creams which don’t contain lactose.
