Our Streak of Nice Weather Is Gone

Happy Thursday Everyone! our week of beautiful weather has ended and today it's a rainy day. We need the rain but it just seems so dark and dismal compared to all the days of bright sunshine.
I'm expecting a pick-up for donation today and hoping they don't cancel due to the weather. All our stuff is on the porch all ready to go and it would be a pain to have to lug it all back inside and reschedule.
The internet was acting a bit wonky earlier but it seems okay now. I have some things I want to list online for sale so I need it to cooperate 
Since it's a dismal day I figured it would be a good day for some chili. After I spend some time here and finish my coffee I'll put it all together and let it simmer in the crockpot this afternoon. I wish I had some cornbread to go with it but I didn't plan ahead and don't have the necessary ingredients.
Other than that, nothing exciting going on here.
Anything fun or exciting happening with you today?

It rained last night, but is not raining now, won't be until tonight, but the sun is not out. At least its warm. Unless it starts raining hard I imagine they will still do your pick up..

All I did today was go to the doctor and pharmacy. I ended up writing about the doctor, annoyed, but it started off as such a beautiful day. Just pretty sunshine, and a cool breeze. It was only in the afternoon in turned dark and dreary. Now, the rain is back, and I’m missing my sunshine.
I bet your chili was delicious!

Another very gray day here, rain predicted and got nothing at all. It finally did the very light drizzle once again for about 5 minutes. Noticeably colder tomorrow and tomorrow night is a hard freeze. I am hoping if it freezes, it will kill some of the dust and pollen we have from having no rain for so long.
No excitement here today, which is just the way I like it. I have been draggy for a few days, but today I got a NAP! Oh, it was wonderful!
