Almost feels like Halloween was more than just a week ago. Tv has already been showing all Christmas commercials and yesterday I saw the one for Hess Trucks. These Hess Trucks have been around since 1964 when the first one came out. it was a Tanker truck and sold for.....$1.39 and even came with batteries! I remember my brother getting a Hess truck every year for Christmas and then my son got them every year too. I can remember only paying about $9.99 for my sons Hess trucks and he had quite a collection over the years. When I saw this years Hess truck it almost boggled my mind that the price is now $49.99!! I'm sure they are still big seller even at that price and I assume have become a collectors item. Are you familiar with these Hess trucks?

I just saw a You Tube video that included Hess trucks as valueless collectibles.

Yeah, I think my son had one once, but I wasn't the one who bought it for him. The first Christmas commercial I saw is the one for Macys with Adam Devine and the famous blonde actress who's name escapes me at the moment. Melissa Joan Hart? Yeah, it's her, I checked.

I am not familiar with these trucks, I even searched them and did not recognize them. It is getting to be Christmas season. Tomorrow we are hoping, weather permitting, to get out of town to a little beach town an hour or so away, and visit a couple of little Christmas shops. The drive will be pretty along Lake Huron with the pretty leaves that remain on the trees.
