Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 45 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore at 4am. The high for today is 60. That is as low as I ever want to go. I woke up stupid early because of course I did. I have had a wicked headache for the past couple of days. I'm not supposed to take ibuprofen, aspirin, Tylenol, etc. because I have several ulcers. I'm really good at dealing with pain too. . . but this headache is killing me. I found some ibuprofen in the cabinet and took it. I don't care. My head is nuts. Today will just be meal prep for the week and some baking for coworkers. I'll put the football on. It will be a quiet day which is how I like it. What's everyone else up to today?

I'm sorry about your headache. That sounds really painful if you had to take something for it that you'd prefer not to.

half an hour later it feels much better. I'm not one to usually ignore medical warnings but I just couldn't take the headache any longer. I needed a break.

Girl, if your headache was that bad, I’d say it’s worth chancing making an ulcer worse to get rid of that wretched headache. I’m headed to church this morning to hear my dad for one of the last times, and after church they have a potluck. After that, I’ll go on home and eventually my dad will come over and we’ll watch football via Redzone.

@AmbiePam My Pop Pop was from Minnesota and loved his Vikings. The grandkids made sure he was buried with his Vikings jacket.

I was going to suggest paracetamol for your headache. That’s the recommended medication over here, but whilst checking its use I found it’s called Tylenol over there. Aspirin is not something we use unless it’s for blood thinning. Ibuprofen isn’t recommended if you suffer from stomach ulcers. So if you have to take a painkiller, Tylenol is the one you should be taking. I’ve just been to a Remembrance Day service and now as it’s Super Sunday, I’ll be watching an afternoon of football (soccer).

Yeah they've said I shouldn't take anything but I just needed some relief from the pain. I'm not stupid and I have a very high tolerance for pain but I just needed a break. I feel so much better and if that makes me bleed more then oh well. I'll be watching American football today.

Bummer about the headache, and that ibuprofen with ulcers worries me a little.... hope it eases up soon, i would check with a doc if it sticks around idk
