Paying for breasts

Canada
January 19, 2007 10:01pm CST
I myself feel that it is a good thing for individuals to do, but only if it is for the right reason. I myself am looking into, as I call it, "buying boobs". My grandmother thinks that I should just be happy with what I have, and maybe she is right, but as it turns out, this still does not make it feel better for me. I am, in my mind, wanting to do this for all of the right reasons. I want it for myself, not to look better for others, not so that men will talk to my chest instead of my face, and not so that I will be more respected. I want this because I am self concious about my chest and would feel better about myself with bigger breasts, or sacks of saline, as my dad would say :P Do you know anyone that has had SALINE implants? If so, what was their reaction to their new chest? What type of operation was performed?(Around nipple incision, under breast incision, armpit incision)Did they regret it? How did they handle the pain of the operation? Pretty much any details that anyone could give me would be great. Please note that I am not looking for medical consultation on here, I am simply looking to find out a bit more from the patient side of view as the doctor I am going to see is a male, and I'm assuming he doesn't have breasts :)

oh and i looked at your profile pic too. you really need to understand that your back will be very bruised because of how tiny you are. one of my friends was not quite as small as you but was very small and her whole back from the shoulders to the lower back was bruised black and blue litterally for 3 weeks. she was in her 40's which probably contributed but still it was also because of how small she was and the fact that she has no extra skin to pull. she had the nipple incision. Just wanted to let you know about that after seeing how friggin slim you are ;)

not necessarily...I know a LOT of tiny women who've had implants (being a former stripper I know plenty who've had boob jobs over the yrs) and none of them complained of back troubles or brusing etc...agian though, it'd be somehting to talk to the doctor about...I went to Dr. Carman in Toronto and he is AMAZING...do you mind if I ask who you are goin to see?

LOL..thanks. Yeah, I am pretty "friggin slim", but I have a great deal of elasticity to my skin to solve that stretching problem. As for the back bruising, the only concern I would have with that is whether it will effect my back tattoo that I am getting within 2 months. :S

I think you should accept yourself as what you are. Altering any of your borned assets may spell troubles in future.

My mum had one done as she lost one due to cancer, she found it very painful but certainly hasn't regretted it. Do think about how you are going to feel after though and whether you are going to be self conscious over them being fake. I haven't known any men that would reject a woman because her boobs are small, but have known alot that would because they are fake and they are disgusted by them. In the end though, if it makes you happy go for it, it may be a lot of pain to go through, but the results, once they heal, are for life...

LOL thats so not true....I mean generally a guy will not be interested in a girl with Pam Anderson boobs but real ppl generally dont go to that extreme ya know...like I said earlier you cant even tell I have implants and I know a lot of women who are like that....

right and being able to wear our clothes properly rather than have them wear us as well as being proportioned is a big thing for some ppl..I know it was for me and thats in spite of the fact that I've been told all my life how pretty I was, how sexy I was (as a teen and adult of course) and so on...what OTHERS thought didnt matter at all..still didnt..what I THOUGHT and HOW I FELT was the important thing and I didnt feel right at all..now I do and I wouldnt change it for the world!

I would rather advise you not to go for implants to increase ur boob size but do some physical exercise to increase the size. in this way ur boobs will be healthier and also attractive. Even u will stay fit with exercise.

actually exercise will seemingly DECREASE your size....there are no magic exercises that will increase them and certainly not by cup sizes...

Once again raven, you are right! The old "must, we must, we must increase our bust" routine is exactly that, old, and not to mention useless.

If you can afford it, then go for it... And if you're 100 percent sure about it, why not? It's your body. And about the doctor, c'mon there are even OB-Gynecologists who are male. They're professional about these things and there's nothing to worry about. Just be sure you get a good doctor and not the cheap unlicensed ones. Goodluck,

I dont understand why people are so obsessed with getting bigger boobs. If anything I'd rather get a brest reduction. You say your doing it for yourself but why? because you dont have self confidence that guys will like you with the boobs you have now. No matter what everything always turns back making it all about them. I wanna lose wait so this person will like me so on so forth it always turns out about the guy. If only they cared as much about what we thought about them

Number one, please note that I said I have never had a complaint from a man, and I will never be concerned with what perverted males think. They can like it or lump it as far as I'm concerned. I'm not one of those ppl that is worried about what other people think of me, that's for damn sure. I'm doing it for myself so that I can feel COMFORTABLE with my appearance in the clothing that I want to wear. ME, not them, you, or anyone else. This is all about ME, just ME, MYSELF, and I..so as for your comment, please make sure you read the WHOLE discussion before making half assed comments.

the only person who can decide this is you.but what i have found in life with people who are unhappy with there body be it to fat to skinny big boobs or small ones they all seem to have one thing in common low self esteem.by changing the way your body looks is not the answer to improving your self esteem i would sujest to see a councelour first you may find after a few sesstions you may not need the opperation at all.and what ever you do dont worry about what others think of your body if they dont like it there missing out on meeting another buitifull person.good luck with your desision

I have done alot of thinking, and I am pretty sure that it is just the physical part of it for me. I otherwise have fabulous self esteem, maybe sometimes even too much :S The main reason I know this is because it hurts to get out of the shower and to even catch a glimpse of my chest in the mirror, it feels horrible. And also, while I've never had a complaint from a male, I still find myself shying away from taking my shirt off, which does cause mini problems. And let me clarify on that last sentence, it's not because I'm worried about what the male will say, it is because I don't feel comfortable with that part of me, but thank you for the best wishes all around! :)

I have lots of friends who have had this done and none of them regret it. I on the other hand am at the other end of the "boob spectrum". I am a DDD cup and am on a mission to lose 70lbs so I can have lipo, tummy tuck and a reduction and lift. I have never been smaller than a D cup in my life except the whole growing up thing when you have to start with an A cup and move up from there LOL! If you want them, have the money to pay for them, can put up with the 3 days of pain after the surgery then go for it! You don't have to wear a bra after they are set and that to me is worth it!

i've always wanted bigger boobs. i finally grew some when i turned 17. my grandma used to tell me to be happy with what i had too. but i hated it. i didnt have anything. i wanted to feel better about myself and now that i do have some i feel better, but i'd like to get a cup or two sizes bigger. i wanted boobs to make myself look good. to make me look like a girl. i look like a girl but with boobs you look like a better girl. i'm also self concious about my self and would change myself with surgery if i wanted to feel better. i dont' know anyone that has had the surgery but will keep checking back to find more information about it.

You are slim so small ones fit you, however, I am all for it if it helps you feel better about yourself. Everyone I know who has had them done have no regrets. I have seen one boob job up close and it was fantastic. It was an armpit incision and they looked extremely real. I was amazed. I would love to give you the opposing side as well, just to nbe balanced sine it is major surgery, but out of the ones I've known, none have regretted it or had problems.

I don't know anyone that has had implants personally but i have seen people on tv, and talk shows that have had them, some of them are happy with the outcome and some who have had HORRIFIC things happen to them. I know you really want them to help your confidence and i'll suppport you whatever you decide, and i think you know my opinion already. But i think that IF you can be happy without BIG BOOBS, you should try, cause i dont want to see you hurt, or anything. Also I dont want you to end up regretting it and finding out you went through all the pain and medical proceedures and emotional distress that could happen just to find out that it wasn't really the lack of BIG boobs that made you self concious. I love you man.

my opinion is better not to alter your original body.one of my brother's sis has undergone saline implants{nipple incision} 2 years back.what she says is that she feels very much like a doll rather than having any confidence. so pls dont go for any alterations.

I mean I personally dont really think one way or another about women who have implants or who get plastic surgery. I am happy with my body and what I was given and would never get plastic surgery, but if you feel it will make you feel better then it is your body and you can do what you please with it. Anytime you get surgery you are running a risk so any experience that someone else had may not fit for you because your body is different, but it is good to research as much as you can becasue once its done its done.

Personally I think cosmetic surgery is kind of oogy. If it's reconstructive, sure, but to make yourself feel prettier? I just don't get the point.

Thanks for the response, but I am a good person, and yeah, that does come first, and again, I'm not worried about my appearance to anyone else. People can think what they like about me and my body but I don't give a damn what they think..it's what I think that matters is it not?
