i would love to know why my 2 discussions got delted for stating i hit my goal here. But yet when i search discussion on that goal everyone elses is still there?? i dont think thats very fair of mylot to delete mine but yet i can see tons more of the same discussion. Am i wrong here or am i right? if one is going to get deleted for that topic then everyones should be. why single one person out.

Yvonne, actually, we are not allowed to post referring to a certain number of posts we have made in Mylot.I guess, thats; the reason those discussions are being deleted.I could be wrong here , but I don't think I am .Don't be upset:)Cheer up.

Hmm looks like mylot has enforced that rule again..out of the blue! It was stated in the Dont's section of the guidelines before but a few weeks ago I wasn't able to spot it. Of course time and again users have started such discussions and they've gotten away with it (including me, when I reached 500) It's funny why mylot picks on a few and leaves the others alone! Don't let it bother you yvonne, looks like someone reported those two discussions.

whenever Mylot staff find such discussions , they will be removing all of them . And if you see such discussion then please report them (if possible) . Atleast stay away from such discussions which "promote a milestone, such as birthdays, anniversaries, reaching a certain myLot rating, etc" . pls see this discussion started by Mylot : http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/457762.aspx

Wow. I'm sorry. I just looked under your discussions and your right I DONT see yours. Its odd though. Seriously. I did one for 1,000 posts the other day and its still there. Its gotta be a glitch. Hope it works out and if not, writing MyLot and see what they say. They are pretty good about replies (though didnt answer mine). Sorry again :((

I just checked my discussions and it looks like a few of mine were deleted also. One was about me reaching 1oo posts so don't feel bad. Guess we both need to check the do's and dont's before doing. :O

thats what i dont understand. I can search 500 posts and see about 10 pages of people boasting they hit 500 and they dont get deleted. Well at least i did see in my email that i do have what people wrote while my discussions were still up so at least i have those from my friends.

You should read the rules thoroughly next time. Read up on what the word "Survey" means and how it is defined. Posting discussions to people getting feedback in a matter of their opinions. But for someone to post that they made their goal isn't really a survey at all. You're not the only person that got their posts deleted.

yes i am. I have searched posts on the subject of 500 and there are at least 10 pages of discussions on this so try searching a subject.

Evidently someone complained about yours, and not about the others. They may have even reported it as abuse. MyLot basically says that it cannot see everything, and that it asks for all users to help. I do not think I responded to either of those posts, as they are the type that do not usually lead to much exchange of information.

I responded to both your discussions and didn't think there was anything wrong with them Maybe someone complained about them and the other sdiscussions didn't get any complaints! Keep your chin up and I'll keep responding to your discussions. Sometimes mylot doesn't seem to be doing the fair thing as there are a lot of discussions that are pretty stupid that get through.

Yes I noticed that as I went to respond to your discussion I do not know why as I have seen other members put through these kinds of discussions when they have reached their 500 posts. I do not understand why they singled you out, sorry about that.

Yvonne after reading all of the responses till now the only conclusion that I can come with is that they were reported to mylot. I understand that it's not fair to only delete a few and not all unfortunately mylot can't be every where on here at once. I don't know why they don't just type in 500 posts or 100 posts etc and delete all that come up but they don't so it's not fair. I did read the alert that one member posted of the reasons that discussions get deleted and they were right that it apparently does violate the guidelines. In some ways I guess I can see why because it would clog up the boards if everyone posted the goal that they reached each time with so many users. But still not right that all aren't deleted. I would like to say one additional thing as this discussion is right on the boarder, since it's a "beef" with mylot type of discussion it could be deleted also. I hope not as I have lost a lot of posts recently from replying to people and would hate to loose another. :) I should check to see if the posts that I have lost were congratulating people for reaching their goals. One thing came of it, we now have another type of discussion to stay away from so that we don't loose earnings and points. Again I'm sorry to hear that your discussion was deleted. I hope that mylot is able to implement something so that all fall under the same scrutiny as you. :)

your discussion should not have been deleted just because you said you hit your goal,a lot of other people have said the same thing..If it happened yesterday it was probably due to them having problems and having to shut down for awhile..I got 2 of my answers deleted and had to go back and answer the second time..Why don't you run your discussion again and see if it happens again, then you will know for sure..

I wonder if your discussion got deleted or lost in cyberspace? I lost some things I had written on another site and I know they weren't deleted because I put them in again and they went through. Sometimes I think the gremlins just get in and swallow them. These gremlins are related, I think to the ones in my washer and dryer that always eat just one sock out of a pair! If they were deleted, however, I agree that there should be some consistancy in the censorship. I also wish there was somekind of generated statement telling us if a discussion has been deleted. I don't mean that the staff would have to respond to everybody, but seems like they could fix it so when something was deleted a message would go out saying something like "Due to site policy this discussion was not published" or something like that.

Hi Yvonne, I would say shake it off and go forward.Your feeling are understandably hurt and you feel cheated but don't waste time on things you can not change.I still do not understand the ins and outs of myLot but do have fun here.Settle down and take a deep breath...eat some chocolate...cures everything for me. Sorry you feel bad Sweetie.Hugs R

I don't know why they are deleting your posts. It is very weird. Someone must be deliberately spamming every post you make or something. Something is definitely wrong. I would write to Mylot and ask them what is going on with it. There may be a glitch in the system or something. If one of those posts got deleted, then the rest should have been also. It surely is not fair. Write to them and see what they have to say about and let us know, if you can what their response to you is. I hope you get it all worked out soon. I'm sorry because I know it must be very frustrating for you.

There must be a glitch in the system they are both still there and both still getting posts. I guess email them again see what's going on. Start a discussion on a totally different subject and see what happens

I agree with you. Two days ago I was told that we can't post referral links here, but today and yesterday I saw some posters did. I have a friend who turned out to be banned because he was posting referral links on here, so he said, I wonder then why these people could do that. I provided links to my blog too, just so I can exchange blog links, and my blog doesn't have moneymaking sites although blogs I linked with migh contain those. As to your discussion, I just saw it, maybe now it's back.

Just an idea but maybe that's why they are deleting them, I can see your discussions but maybe those people can't see theirs either. Don't know but when you think of the volume here 80,000 members X I reached 100, I reached 500, I got my star, I reached 1000, and so on.... that's a lot of repeated discussions.

I agree with you yvonne, but, I wonder if the answeris because there are too many hitting 500 discussions posted. Still they should delete all not just 1.
