Finding alternatives to layoffs; doesn't that seem an obvious solution?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 12 Mar 09

I just read an article on boston.com about a hospital that was finding alternative ways of saving money so that they didn't have to fire any of the lower wage earners. The employees are the ones coming up with the suggestions,...

Coke Rewards Point - Why don't they ever offer any good gift cards?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 7 Nov 08

Okay, so I have about 2000 coke points, and I am STILL waiting for them to offer gift cards as rewards. When I first joined, they had gift cards for stores I actually go to, like Home Depot; but by the time I had enough points for...

Wednesday June 25th is double points day at the myCoke Rewards website. The double points are only for the codes from the 12-packs of cans; 20 per code instead of 10. I opened all three of the fridge packs I had in the pantry so...

Anyone know whats going on with Treasuretrooper? I can't log on...

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 6 Jan 08

I haven't been able to log on to the site for several days, though I've only tried a couple times, it would tell me that they were having "technical difficulties." Today, I tried to go to the page and ME couldn't even find the...

What do you think of the final picks for House's staff?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 28 Nov 07

Were they the ones you expected to make it? Anyone you wish he had picked instead? I don't think anyone was too surprised by 13 making the cut, although they had me going for a minute when House fired her and before Cuddy told...

Need tips on using a food Dehydrator

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 16 Oct 07

So, I bought a dehydrator for $5 in a thrift store. It was practically brand new; I brought it home, cleaned it, and stuck it in the pantry... where it sat for the last year. It seemed like a great idea, but I don't really know...

Use and cleaning of silicone baking mats/cookie sheets

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 12 Jul 07

I bought two of these new silicone mats for baking, and they worked so good and were so easy to clean that I decided to use them for other things that usually stick to the metal cookie sheets when I cook them. So, last night I...

New theory on the identity of the miniture killer on CSI

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 6 Apr 07

Okay, as some of you may have read in my other posts, I was saying, jokingly, that Sara was the real killer. But now that we are getting near the end of the season, it is time for some real theories. Apparently, Lady Heather is...

Would you consider this stealing?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 3 Apr 07

I need some help re-magnetizing my moral compass! I'm trying to decide if I should feel guilty. This is the situation: I was getting a candy bar from the vending machine at work today and put in a dollar bill (the candy bar costs...

Stray dogs, what do you do?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 21 Mar 07

What do you do when you see a stray dog in your neighborhood? I ask because we often have dogs wander down our street; some have owners, some don't. Just a little while ago I was getting in my truck to run some errands and there...

How many of you think CD accounts are a good way to save money?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 17 Mar 07

A CD (Certificate of Deposit) is a type of account you can open at a bank and put a fixed amount of money in for a certain length of time. You get a guarenteed intrest rate for that time. The bad part is that you can't take the...

Squirrel repellants?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 13 Mar 07

We just got our roof fixed a couple of weeks ago. The corners had all been chewed through by squirrels who were living in the attic and soffets. We used live traps to catch and relocate the ones in the attic before we repaired it....

CSI fans: Did anyone else think the photo-teacher subplot was just gratitutious?

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 23 Feb 07

The episode was decent (not great, certainly) but personally, I thought they really didn't need the schizophrenic/stalker/owner of the worlds-biggest-photolab-in-a-storage-unit/obsessed teacher character at all. It added nothing...

theproperator @theproperator (2429) • United States 11 Feb 07
