Cross-stitching can make such lovely and personal gifts for Christmas. In the past I've made such things as a picture and pillow cases using cross-stitch. I've also used it in making a crazy quilt along with other embroidery stitches. However, this year I'm not giving anything that was cross-stitched. How about you? I have mostly travelled alone and really enjoy it. I think it's easier to get to know the people where I'm visiting when I'm alone. I liked it. I didn't see the original in the 80s but watched it this weekend on the SciFi Channel. I also was surprised how this premiere immediately brought in concepts that didn't appear in the original after much time, i.e. reptiles, a resistance. My favorite is Texas food because that's where I grew up. There's nothing like eating barbecue briskit, beans, potato salad, watermelon and ice tea on a picnic bench. I used to keep appliance boxes for a move but now I am gradually getting rid of them. I have a small apartment and would probably move into one of the same size. I like lots of different kinds of candy but not all. My favorite is chocolate, especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I don't think I know what razzles are. Just the name makes it sound like a fun candy. They aren't a kind of licorice are they? That's one of the few candy types I don't like.

My eyes are affecting my crafts too. I have cataracts and am waiting until they're ready for surgery. I've found that I can knit but not crochet. I don't think I could quilt now either. A few years ago I went to a senior center where there was a quilt frame set up. I enjoyed learning but had a hard time getting the stitches as small as the experienced ones.
