Rainsborough The problem is with people's assumptions. People just assume I am straight. If the oppurtunity arrises I will tell them I am gay. But do you expect me to introduce my sekf as such. "Hi' I'm. Ed I'm Gay you know."

Rainsborough I'm gay, but then again I don't believe in the institution of marriage itself. But I do not see why one group should be discriminated agianst like this. It is totally unconstitutional.

Rainsborough Just ask him. If he is secure in his sexuality, either gay or straight, it shouldn't phase him. At worst it may be a little awkward but if you make clear that it doesn't bother you either way everything should be fine.

Rainsborough I don't argue with someone over religion, unless their religion prejudices them in some way. If someone starts preaching to me, then theyy shouldn't expect me to just sit there without picking apart the product they are trying to sell.

Rainsborough I agree, people do need to pay more attention to those they are communicating with. having said this though; you can't really expect someone to sit there while you pore out all your troubles to them. That's what bartenders are for.
