digitalian I usually prefer the manga to the anime because there are some story arcs in the manga that don't get animated and usually these are the most interesting parts of the story.

kgwat70 I do not always finish reading the books that I have started but most of them I do. The more interesting the book the more likely I am to finish the book and will let someone else borrow the book to read. If it is boring, then I probably would put it aside....
