Which do you use and why - eye shadow applicators - spongey type or brush?

I always use the sponge/Qtip style applicators for putting on eye shadow, however in watching "What Not To Wear", I see that makeup artist always uses a brush. I have tried a brush before, but it...

INternet on a cell phone... are you serious?

I pretty much hate cell phones, but have one as my daughter insists I have one for emergencies since I have her child often. But I recently (longstory) got a new phone that comes with 2 months free...

Shampoos and conditioners..do you have to use "siblings"?

There are so many shampoos and conditioners out these days (remember when it was called cream rinse?!!) that I just have to ask. I know each manufacture praises it's own as they should, but when all...

General Hospital Soap - what's your favorite storyline of all time?

I always use the sponge/Qtip style applicators for putting on eye shadow, however in watching "What Not To Wear", I see that makeup artist always uses a brush. I have tried a brush before, but it seems to poof the shadow all around. Granted a stiffer brush might solve this, but even so.. I couldn't get control of hte shadow to make it go where i wanted it to go. So... give me some advise on ...

Todays episode 2/8 Wasn't it so kind of Liz to tell Lucky it was okay that he is mad at her? Wasn't that so kind? Bless that little Princess's heart!!!Gag me with a spoon!

coffeebreak responded to a discussion called Have you ever had a chocolate in questions & answers.
Never had one, but have seen the show on Unwrapped how the places makes them..even those huge extra large ones the size of a large cake! But if I want to spend my calories on chocolate, I think I'd rather have more than that fortune cookie dough stuff for the chocolate to be on! I'll take See's Candy with cream centers!

Congrats!!! I am glad you got it straightened out. I think the SSA just puts it off as long as they possibly can hoping htat the person will just accept and stop. They are right there to kick you out, but of course, can't be contacted to let you back in.... unless you are an illegal alien, then they bring your check to your door and ask if you need more!!!!I hope mine goes as well... I am s...

I am all for helping others, but we still have the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Ike down south there, that are still dilapidated and unpopulated and total wrecks, people without homes, children with family...and this country/government has done nothing to help them but let FEMA kick many out of the temp trailer housing as they have been there to long. Obama sent $100 million to Haiti...th...

I won't pay for one, but I will get one if I go to that store alot. WHy not? But...watch what they do... I have one at Borders book store.. and I don't shop there alot, but the points expire. I was nearly worth a cashing for $15 and then alot of them expired and left me with next to nothing! Unless you spend alot there, the points are not good. I use it just so I can get the coupons in my email...

coffeebreak responded to a discussion called Do you always seek the blessings of your parents in your every decision? in life.

I have never had my parents care one way or another what I did. I'd tell them, they'd never talk it over with me or give suggestions. IN a way I really blame them for my life now...they not once EVER in my high school years, encouraged me to go to college. Never get an education, never better yourself. All I was told to do was find a husband to support me and get married and have children. I di...

I'm sure alot of that money and aid never made it to the people that needed it. I think US does things like this so fast that they don't think the procedure through enough to make it work to maximum benefit. But then again, I'm not there, all I know is what I see/hear. But the thing with the church people taking kids.. why didn't they say something to someone in charge? "Hey, we want to hel...

Thanks so much for your comment. I understand what you are saying perfectly. Exactly what I want to learn to do! Yeah, I guess practice works in makeup as well as anything else..and that is what I need to do. I bought an angled brush yesterday so I will give it a try today. Never thought of UTube for a tutorial! Good Idea, I'll look for some. Question: when using the shadow instead of liner...
