Whenever I'm in an awkward or uncomfortable situation - like when I don't want to see someone on the street and I'm alone - I usually find myself typing random things on my phone pretending to text. How about you? Do you do the same?

Yes, I've experienced this and it's quite frustrating. First, because I don't really understand why I'm feeling that way, and second, because it's so hard to control myself. Although I don't show this strange hatred to that person, it seems like my mind won't stop thinking of bad things about him/her. You're right. And at least the right family would be notified. I mean, the dead guy's family might have been waiting for him to come home for some time already, not knowing the man was already dead.

I think you got it all wrong. The body was certainly dead, it was just identified wrong. They thought it was him, but it was actually of another man's.:)

You're welcome. I thought this was fascinating too.:) Yes, I think it's a very distressful job identifying dead bodies, especially when it has been badly disfigured. I would be doubtful too, if I was a member of the man's family.
