greygoo responded to a discussion called My childhood is my friendship in friend.

i have two best friends whom i've been friends with for more than 12 years. We met in grade school, and now, all three of us have our college degrees. the two of them are pursuing further studies; one is studying to become a medical doctor, while the other studying to become a lawyer. i'm the only one who decided to get a job. but i'm currently applying for grad school. it's beautiful how we w...

it's funny because you posted something about waking up to birds chirping just a few minutes before i'm supposed to go to sleep. the wonders of the internet:) I hope the rest of your day goes as well as your morning~

greygoo responded to a discussion called Do you ever read the story "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer"? in reading.
i haven't read tom sawyer and huckleberry finn but i've watched them! i used to watch their animated versions on tv when i was younger. it's weird but i had always wanted a life like Huck's. he seemed utterly free. don't you agree? but i think this is because i watched them as cartoons, where the darker parts of each story were reduced to fun and adventure. but i still want a tree house a...

hi! i guess i wouldn't say that the future is predetermined. maybe more like, calculable, or can be estimated. to use your own example, the outfielder can "predict", but what he expects may not always be the outcome. do you catch my drift? i feel that this statistical inaccuracy tells us something. maybe these laws aren't so infallible. i mean, how can we prove that even they are not subject...

greygoo responded to a discussion called Sherlock holmes 1 was any day better than its sequel. in watching movies.

you didn't like it? i LOVED it! well, i love sherlock holmes so i can't possibly hate any of them, especially when they're played by robert downey jr. maybe that's why. the 1st one's your regular one-villain-caught-and-done-for, but the 2nd one's more serious. sherlock isn't the one running after the enemy anymore; they're practically running towards each other with every intention of crushing ...

greygoo commented in a discussion called Have you ever felt like you didn't know what you wanted to do with your life? in life.

oh i think my brother's having the time of his life. haha. it does seem that he's a bit lonely...he lives alone you see. well, he wanted to work abroad so he'll have to live with that. you really got me. i mean, i obviously didn't know the difference between physical therapy and occupational therapy. haha. i thought that since they both had 'therapy' in them they must be very similar, if not...

i know what newton is trying to say about how little we know. my point is, these "laws", are they invulnerable to change? how do we prove that they have always been constant by nature? we don't. we can't. what if everything was merely chaos, arranged in desperate attempts to understand? then nothing is predertermined. and everything is a new discovery.

hmm... let me put it this way, we have only been around for such a short time to conclude that the laws that our scientists have discovered are universal. even Newton said that we know very little. these laws and patterns that we are perceiving may be nothing but specks of dust. imagine the stars. we see patterns and give them names, but in reality, they are nothing but dots in the universal sc...
