This was on Sky News this morning SA time 06.00am. As I came down the passage my husband started yelling for me to turn around and go back, he just want to change channels. When I got back in to the family room he told me of this despicable, unbelievable practice in China! What is WRONG with these people!! For God sakes not so long ago they showed on sky how they kill dogs, they skin them alive!!!!! Dear GOD help us! Here is the link to the web page. There is a warning for sensitive viewers, so please be warned. I haven't seen it but my husband said it is the most despicable and unbelievable cruelty he has ever seen in his entire life. I will do some research as to see where we could all go and protest against this. But what makes it so difficult is the fact that I don't even want to go to PETA'S site because of all the graphic images. If any of you know what we can do please let me know. HINA'S ZOOS: 'ASYLUMS FOR ANIMALS' China's zoos have been described as "insane asylums for animals" and a national disgrace, where live domestic pets are fed to lions and tigers for the entertainment of visitors. http://news.sky.com/skynews/home

I could not even go to your link. I love animals. I am very sensitive towards these things. If Peta cannot help, I don't know who can. Surely, they know about it. I am not sure how people outside of China can help. They do not have to do anything we tell them to. I am not sure just how much the government in our country cares about these things. They would be in control by not trading with them. Maybe Peta would be able to tell us how we can help. As long as there are graphic images, I cannot look.

I signed the first one...and like it said the error came up but it said it would go through anyway. The second one went through. The third one is the same as the first one.The forth one went through, and the fifth was the same as the forth. I did a discussion about the dog fur some time ago. However, I had no idea that J.Crew was one of the companies using dog fur. That is horrible. I have never bought anything from them, and I never will. That is a popular company in the USA. I will do whatever I can to make sure everyone knows about this. I feel that I did something very important with my morning.

This is all a matter of demand and supply. As long as tourists are flocking to the place to see the shows, it will generate money. As long as the shows generate money, they will continue to let the show go on. Using the excuse that these tigers are going to be released to the wild is not an excuse at all. This show is like a disaster waiting to happen. It is a matter of when. Now the buses are caged in and the glass cannot be open. There is bound to be one tourist with an itching finger that will one day try to open the door for a better look. And when the tigers see a human coming out of a vehicle, what would they be thinking? FOOD! and attack the fellow! Only then will the cruel acts of putting live animals to be killed by the tigers considered a sport be stopped! This zoo reeks of bad karma! What goes around, comes around!

I hear what you are saying, but I can't help but wonder who was so sick to start this in the first place. If this is the case then will this argument hold ground when it comes to pedophiles, rapists and I can carry on. The supply just doesn't come voluntarily. This is a barbaric practice that should be stopped! There is but NO JUSTIFICATION whatsoever for it. I am trying very hard not to let my emotions go, on this issue, as to cloud reasonable judgment, but all of this just doesn't make any sense! Forgive me if I have no sympathy or understanding as far as your observation goes pertaining the fact that this is a disaster in the making, waiting to happen. To be quite frank I wonder if they would care, it will be just another adventurous event to serve their blood thirsty nature. Of all the countries in the world, and I don't say that cruelty in other countries doesn't take place, but China has a reputation that reeks of blood and cruelty! There is a sick pattern forming now for years. I agree with you about the bad karma, and what goes around comes around, just this morning I saw how they treat families that does not obey the law of having more than one child! Good God it is a nation that I will never understand, after all they are the oldest nation on this planet, they should have been up there with the greatest of humankind and yet....

I saw this news clips just an hour ago on tv. I was shocked. It was horrible for the zoo managers to let the tigers attack and eat live animals. It is not an entertainment at all. Where is the entertainment in it? It was pure savage cruelty to animals. It was good that skynews aired it so that people around the world will know this cruelty exists and maybe some big environmentalist or animal rights group would come and make an end to this activity. I can't believe they actually let children watched, it is not absolutely acceptable.

Hi Annie I guess it is done for the fur trade thing so dogs and cats are being killed and skinned alive in China for that purpose. Some of these animals were seen with identity collars, that means some are stolen. This is nothing but Sick! Anyway i have found a site on the internet if you are interested, there's something called IDA (In Defense of Animals) It is an organization whose goal is protecting the rights of animals. This link exists at the furkills site where you can see their activities. Hope this will help. http://www.furkills.org/dog_fur_horror.shtml http://www.idausa.org/calendar/calendar.html Thank you always xxx

Hi there my friend, I am in absolute shock as to your observation about the identity collars worn by some of these animals. I didn't look at the footage, my husband told me about it. Now I’m even more disgusted. I’m to scared to go to the website you referred me to, is it full of graphic material, then I won’t be able to go there. Please let me know, as I want to fill in every petition I can lay my hands on. You must go to my hub and meet my children!

I just know I won't be able to look at the link. it disgusts me as well Annie, myself, I am not an animal lover, but I would never want for this to happen to any creature on earth and ESPECIALLY not for, what was it? entertainment? that is just sick. Do let me know anything I can do to help, if you have any websites (petitions etc) I will gladly write something Annie and link them to my blogs. This type of human Entertainment is appalling, it's sick and it's twisted.

It is despicable my friend, and there I'm just like you, my husband saw it and he warned me, I can't sleep at night when I've seen cruelty like that. He went through a few sites for me, to see which ones I could go and sign the petitions. Like I said to another responder, China is the oldest of nations and should be up there with the humanitarians, or the cradle of mankind and yet they are the most backward and barbaric!

Good morning Anniedup. I watched bit of the clip you were talking about. It bring to my mind the way the ancient Rome’s were entertained with the throwing of the Christians to the lions. This horrendous. I have watched animal documentaries that have followed the lion or tigers chasing and catching their prey in the wild. That is nature but this is the very corruption of nature If these tigers are ever let out in the wild they still will not know hoe to hunt for themselves.

You are so right my friend, it is a barbaric practice, and we thought we are thousands of years away from those insanities, but the reality is some are still living like they are in the stone age, but even then they only hunted for their food, and did not use it as entertainment!

They should drop a you know what there! They don't deserve to be called humans, more frigging aliens if you ask me. What do they think they contribute to society, with behavior like that. Gandhi use to say look at the way a country treat their animals and it will tell you how they treat their people! Say no more I rest my case!
