Do You Like To Come Home To A Clean House?

OK your getting ready to go on a trip. Your busy packing getting all the stuff together. Do you take the time to clean your house really well before you leave? Or while you are gone do you have someone come in and clean for you? It can be relly hard to get it all done how do you make sure you "do it all?"

It drives me absolutely batty to go on a trip and leave a dirty house! I can't afford someone to do it for me so I make sure it's done before we leave. And besides, what's the fun of going on a trip just to return to a bunch of housework?

I agree! I always make sure my house is clean before I go away because when I come home I am pooped, and housework is the last thing I want to bother with. Plus if I leave the place a mess the cats will destroy everything as a way to get back at me for leaving them, lol.

Once right before a trip I messed up my knee really bad and I wasn't able to get to it. And my MOm cleaned it for me. I did pay her for doing it. I cleaned mine top to bottom yesterday took me 8 hrs but it is wonderful to be in a house htat is so clean!

It is so much nicer to come home to a clean house, but no matter how hard I try, it never seems to happen. We rarely take trips, and even when we do, we do not all go together. This means that someone will always be left behind to dirty more laundry, dishes, etc. and may not tidy up behind themselves as well as I would hope.

If we are all going on the trip then I try to get key things taken care of like making sure all the laundry and dishes are done and put away, tidying up, vacuuming, dusting, garbages emptied etc etc but since my husband hasnt gone on a trip with the kids an I in a few yrs now then I just get what I can done before leaving picking up my stuff, laundry, dishes and thats pretty much it..

I was going to have the girl next door walk my dog, etc while I am gone for 2 weeks, but I decided not to. I am going to pay around $150 for a boarder instead. Wanna know why? Because I know I will not have time to make sure my house is as clean as I want it to be so someone can come inside. I am so anal about that. If I find out someone is coming by, I will go into "freak" mode and start feverishly cleaning. I hate it when people just "pop" up.

I am going to Cuba from July 25 to August 8th. I will have the house clean before I go, but I know it will definitely be dusty, etc when I get back, not to mention all the laundry we will have. I work all 6 days up until the day we leave, so it's going to be hard to be packed and ready AND clean too. And this way, my little baby gets to play with other dogs and not be cooped up in a cage all day.

Yes, I always clean my house before leaving on any trips even if it's just going away for a weekend. It's just nice to come into a clean house when ya get home. When I start planning my trip, I start making lists, packing, things to do, errands to run, etc. I usually start packing a week ahead of time, that also helps me not forget to pack something, and saves on laundry time, as it gets washed it gets packed if its something I'm taking. Two days before the trip, I clean house, go back over my lists and check off, and in some cases add too it! lol The day before I reserve for running errands, any last minute things that need to be packed, and finish packing except what I'll need for that morning. If the trip I'm taking is going to be alone (sometimes he can't go with me) then I make sure I also get all the laundry done so he doesn't have too. And I still clean up the house, so that he can have the weekend to relax. And even when he stays home, I still come home to a clean house, he straightens up the day that I'll be coming home.

Laundry is always the hard part because you are always making it! I think I am doing pretty good. We have a condo type place so we have a washer and dryer. We really do not need to pack all that much clothes for the trip. Last year I was like man we packed way too much stuff. Live and learn!

I always make sure I clean the house before I go on a trip. Northing is worse than coming home very tired from a trip to a messy and disgusting house. This is just a habit I have got into over the years. cheers,

I make sure to at least do a minor clean up before I leave. I hate coming home to a dirty house. It's depressing enough coming home after a trip, without having to deal with a mess. I do a clean a day or two before I leave, then just try to tidy up before I leave the house.

After I had ready all the packing for a two weeks trip usually I'll clean and tidy up my house before I leave. I'm staying in the same house with my sister in law. Though she is a hard worker she is ten years older than me I don't want her to do the chores that I used to do before. Lol how nice to have a dear one to take care of our house while we are going for vacation.

I would love to come home to a clean house from vacation! Usually that is my intention, but when it comes down to the wire, we leave without making beds, dust appears when we were gone, we pick up a huge pile of mail that gets thrown on the counter, we come home to tons of laundry from our trip. So in reality, even if I clean the house before we leave, we end up coming home to a mess.

Just put them all in your closet or in a big box and sort them later when you come back. That's what I'll do, lol! Seriously, if you still have the time try to tidy them up a bit so that there will be lesser things to do when you come back. You'll be tired then so you would just want to relax a bit and do myLot.

If I were living alone,I would clean my house really before I leave;while if I were living with my parents,of course,I wouldn't do anything before I leave. I care about whether my room is clean or not.If I clean it before I leave,I will feel comfortable and ease and safety. Even though it's really hard to get it all down,I will try my best to do.All in all,it couldn't look so terrible.

Yeah though i would like to have a claean house to return from the trip, it seldom happens. As at most times one is so busy getting everything done, packing everything required, as mind is preoccupied as not to forget keeping any essential items. Then attimes thee is dilemma at what take and what not. So things can get scattered at imes and room can look little messy. Moreover with all the dust gathered on the floors one has to do a cleaniong job on returning from a trip as much one dislikes it.

I'm not that great of a housekeeper but when we go on vacation I like to, if I can, take the time to clean really well so that when we get back I can relax and not have to worry about having to clean house. It takes about a week to relax from going on vacation it seems.

Yes, I bet everyone does or wants to come or like to a clean home. :-), Or maybe then, people do sometimes just like to roam around somewhere before going back home just to have fun outside. :-)
