Oh my I accidentally pressed the - rating once yesterday and once today!

I been too careless with the mouse and I have rated one user with a negative rating yesterday and accidentally rated - another one thi morning. Yikes, I am really careless and have done my part on the dropping of my ratings.
Theres no reason for me to wonder why my ratings will drop tomorrow. What a heck. Its no excuse, the + and - are too close to each other and when you are in a hurry in rating the replies and then now what happened.
Have you expereinced this?

None of us here can claim to be infallible all the time. We all make mistakes - just try to be careful and avoid them. If you want, you can pull up the user's profile page and compensate with a few pluses. My guess is that they will cancel out.
And why should your own rating drop? Rating others negative or positive has no effect on your rating. If there is an effect, no one would dare to rate a spammer negative. :P

It is strange, isn't it?
That's why I thought you were stalking me lol. But it's alright, I don't really mind a pretty lady with lots of wit in her heart and charm in her tongue stalking me. Just promise not to tie me up or something if I don't accept a dinner appointment or two from you. :P

I have done this a time or two myself--I've also accidently rated posts positive that I loathed! As far as the accidental negative ratings, I make it up, by rating a couple of their other postings positively.

I will try to be very careful next time coz it won do any good if I would continue my carelessness.

Hmmm, I am too careless, I want to be more careful the next time I rate others. It was not intentionally rated negative, I know its no excuse.

I made the same mistake some time ago. I think there should be a question after you select. Maybe 'are you sure you want to rate this negative/positive.'
I wasn't aware that affected our ratings, but knowing it does, you've answered another question for me, thanks Zelmarq.

Hello, zelmarq, luckily i have never done it before ,i always rate other repleis positive without any mistakes.Anyway, you cannot change the rating ,hopefully on negative rating will not affect that member much, may be you can give him/her positive rating to his/her discussions and replies as well to push him/her up.
Good luck

Yes and my rate dropped by one point. The first one was accidentaly done because i used my left hand in moving the mouse and the second one was really done because I don't like the response, it's annoying. Sorry for him and for me also, but, I rated your topic positive.

Yes, I've been in a hurry before and was going down the line rating all of the responses in a discussion and accidentally rated one negative I wanted to rate positive, and also rated one positive I wanted to rate negative. It happens.

Thats what was on my mind, and I was rating all who responded to my discussions but then because of my carelessness the thing happened and definitely learned my lesson well and I will be very careful next time.

I have done it once accidentally and I immediately sent a PM since he is in my friends list. Sadly, he never replied and I never saw him again in any of my discussions. I guess he felt really bad. Anyways, I apologized and I immediately rated positive all his discussions even those that I didn't reply so that his rating won't drop. But just the same, I never heard from him again.

Ys, Zelmarq, I did that the other day, then I felt so bad. I guess all we can do is be sure we rate a few more postive of that friend and that will make up for it.

Next time I guess you should be more careful with your ratings friend. Others will surely mis-interpret your intention and might give you a negative rating too. At least you were being honest and you have posted a discussion for this. Goodlluck! Your friends will understand you for sure.;)

Well, I dont mean any harm, it was an accident i never meant to give them that rating for I know it would also pull me down.
