Can You Really Put A Curse On Someone?

Is it really possible to curse someone? If someone has upset you or crossed you is it just fantasy to be able to put a curse on them or has it been done. Can people really put curses on others and send out bad karma? Or is it only movie stuff? Do you have to touch or see the person to send them bad luck or weave a curse onto them or can you do it by thinking of them? Do you believe in black magic and the pentagon for spelling out curses and spells? Or is it power of thought? If you think hard enough it'll send out the curse through thought?

As a Wiccan, I believe in magic. So I believe you can curse a person. But a true Wiccan would never curse anyone. We believe that what you do comes back three times so you couldn't afford the Karma of a curse. Besides the main tenant of our religion is to harm none. And FYI its a pentagram, and that is a protection symbol and the symbol of the Wiccan faith. It is not exclusively used for evil.

I dont have a prefrance for what i am but My closest would be pagan. I agree with you but what if someone is throwing you off your course and hurting your will what do you do then just sit there or do you throw them out of your aura. I would throw them out of my aura if they were hurting mine and if I had to do a curse to do it I would and I dotn think that It would come back on me if that curse was just to get something that was hurting me out of my way. But i have a love nature so i realy couldnt curse anyone I would find a diffrent way to get them out of my aura

I guess I would try a banishing which is not a curse but a technique to remove negativity.

Hi Wolfie,I suppose you can put a curse on some one, but why? To get even for a wrong doing? as repayment?because you have been hurt? I can tell you that to put a curse on someone is easy, but what ever you curse them with will come back on you ten fold. That is why it is so much better to put a blessing on some one. And the best way to get even with some one is to say I wish for you a thousand time what you wish for me. But wouldn't it be so much easier to accept that a person has caused you harm, weather intentional or un intentional, and go on with your life. Revenge is not a thing to take lightly, because it does have a way of finding its way home. A lot of our problems are self induced because we are kept so wound up over an incident, that we can not or will not rest, and be cause of that we are the ones that become ill. Banishment is the best cure, if you literally banish a person or event from your life and really refuse to dwell on it. It can not control you every waking moment. This is called taking charge of your life. you have the say over who is allowed to have an impact, and who never makes it through the door.Would that not make more sense that putting a curse on some one, because you may put a curse on some one, but you do not get to say what the results are.

Being Wiccan and having cast spells before it is possible the thing is by casting a spell to harm someoen it can come back and bit you in the but 3times worse than what you sent out. A true Wiccan or Pagan will follow 1 major rule and that is to Do what ye will, and harme none.

a Wiccan will. a Pagan won't necessarily. I am definitely a true Pagan, and have never beleived in the Wiccan Rede.

Excuse me but every single Wiccan I have met so far and I have met many will NOT put a curse on any one for fear of it coming back to bit on the but.

that's what I said. it's a Wiccan beleif. rather than a general Pagan beleif. most Pagan paths beleive in personal responsibility, rather than Karmic retribution.

i will only hex someone if they have done something to deserve it. It is not something i like doing but if someone harms my kith or kin then they better be sure of themselves. When the gauntlet is thrown down i bight back and i bight back hard blessed be

Eskarina, I'm sorry but may I make a suggestion here? If somebody sends out a curse or dark spell to your kith and kin, will they not suffer the consequences of the law of three? Do you need to risk these consequences yourself by hexing them? I would suggest a strong protection spell on your kith and kin which would send the curse back on its sender, my friend. That way, your conscience is clear. Brightest Blessings.

I don't personally think that the person causing harm initially will suffer the consequences of this "rule of 3" as I don't beleive in it. if anyone harms anyone I care about, they get it both barrels. this is not inviting Karmic retribution, this is taking care of my own. I wouldn't sit around waiting for Karma, for which I've seen no evidence in my lifetime, to sort them out. I will stop them any way I can, and make sure they don't try it again. rather than The Wiccan Rede, I beleive in personal responsibility for your actions. and one responsibility is protecting those I care about.

I think so. My father learned many years ago not to fight with my mom just before he goes fishing. Whenever they would argue, he would have a bad day, the boat wasn't running, the weather got bad, or they didn't catch any fish. Now a days he tries to go out on a good note, but if not, mom gets a call telling her to take off the curse, I'm sorry! The human mind is a powerfull thing.

I don't think so. Many people have told me I'd be cursed, I actually told a gypsy women that I thought she was scum because her children was so hungry that they was eating something I won't mention. I'm meant to be unhappy for life and unable to do what I want. seriously it's just the same as chain letters :P ~Joey

There may be some truth to it. I've read through a book on black magic and it's quite scary. I think it's the devil's work and doing a curse on anyone would somehow bounce back on you.

You should read through a book on white magick. There's nothing scary about it at all.

I really don't think it's true. If someone said they put a curse on you and you might believe them and might be feeling the curse but it's in your head that is playing the tricks on you. If there is really a curse out there I sure wouldn't mind to use it on certain things :)

April, I've had a curse on me without anybody telling me. I felt it, and things happened to me four times in the space of six weeks. Now, if that's superstition, I would like to know what isn't. Moreover, the first time it happened was on Samhain, or Halloween, which could have been coincidental, but when it happened three times more, I got that protection on me faster than you can say "curse".

I don't really know if I believe in curses but it's possible. I do believe in karma though. If you do really bad things, eventually karma is going to come back to bite you on the butt. I also think that if someone says they will curse you, sometimes things can go wrong that would make you think that it's true. Like you would be klutzy all day or something like that. I think it does have to do with your mind playing tricks on you or something.

yeah it is possible to curse with someone. I believed not in magic but to something unknown. It is the power of thought. But it is based on how you will use your thought. Your thought can drives a thing to your desired position. it can cause an object to move, Based from my readings about the weird stuff, there is a plane that was not seen by the person who was not aware of this. This plane was manage by your thoughts by creating an energy. hmmm it's getting weirder.. I think the more you think. the more chance that it will happen.

It is not possible to curse or lay a spell on someone At least, it is beyond my belief. please correct me if I am wrong IF spell does exists, why don't people use it against those big time wicked people on earth, or use it to be the richest person in the world? Instead of using them on small tiny matters? But what I do believe is whatever bad you do, you will receive an equivalent or even worse karma in furture. There will always be a payback period as justice always reigns evil

I think curse doesn't work anyway:) But when I am very angry with somebody, I will hate him/her for some time. As to curse, I don't do so. I don't believe such kind of things.

Yes, it is possible to curse somebody, Wolfie, although I would never resort to it myself, as I abide by the rule of three, which means that all harm you put out comes back to you, threefold. I have proof of that too, emanating from other people. Also, I have been cursed myself, but I have protection around me now, so it didn't occur again, and I'm renewing my protection regularly to try and ensure it never does. Yes, I believe in dark magic. I don't call it black and white but there are those who practice it, and believe me, it does work. The pentacle or pentagon need not always come into it, I don't feel. There are other ways, but I won't go into them, because I'm fearful of dark magic. Power of thought has a lot to do with drawing energies and it's the release of the energies that makes a spell work, so yes, power of thought is a great factor too. Brightest Blessings my friend, and stay curse-free. :)

I think words spoken with intention have power. Plain and simple. It could be a "prayer" a "spell" or "incantation." I think the belief system or semantics we use matter little. Words used with intention have power. By intention I mean that the speaker (or thinker) of those words really wants that to be, is driven by love or hate or some other extreme emotion. I think emotion is the driving factor. Of course, belief is important, too. We need to believe that the words we speak carry the power to create a change. And, again, the words need to be spoken with intention. I don't think a pentagon is any more necessary than a crucifix. I think these are objects that focus us to help us create the intention. I also do believe in "karma," what goes around comes around. While sometimes we can't help it, by the nature of being human we send "bad thoughts" to another. But I do try to be careful of intentionally willing bad to another lest it come back to bite me! But I do think it is possible. Thoughts are things. And thoughts carry power. And some are better than others in using it.

Hi, Well, I'm just trying to draw out the best reasons not to believe it is nonsense. It is not that I necessarily disagree with them but rather that if it seems like unfounded superstition but if it isn't, if there are sound reasons for considering it, I want to hear them all the best urban

Well there are a lot of charlatans out there posing as physics out for their own survival as a physic...They come up with a system of only telling you a little information and then they cut off and say you have a spell on you and you will not have anything you want unless you take the spell off.... I don't know who it is but you must pay 155.00 one time fee and we will take the spell off..... and now you can have your life....This is HOG WASH and you need to learn to stand up to peoples negativity on a regular basis and empower yourself with your own self determinism...When this occurs with these desperate physics you need to go into prayer with another person and rise above this hell that people want to say is in your life and realize that your the creator and watch the movie the secret... Read Louise Haye and start learning about creating your existence....I feel there are alot of gullible people out there that have alot of 200.00 bills to throw away to feel better about what is going on in there life...It is really sad that the internet has brought out many charlatans that tell you...your blocked your cannot make more money...Why? Well I can't tell you unless you do a 200.00 reading with me...THAT MY FRIEND IS NOT A FREE READING...A free reading would answer your questions to begin with and not tell you two obvious things and then tell you NO you can't have that....NO ONE CAN PUT A SPELL ON YOUNOONE that is the lie of the dark side....your the creator of your life....The more people affirm you ability to have and create the more your around the right people......Remember there are people stuck on automatic pilot in every field. BEWARE of people who offer you FREE readings they will try to crush you so you will buy into their limiting belief system.......and usually they need your money...If they were truly giving you a free reading it would be full of wonderful details and you would walk away with some positive knowledge...not feeling like you cannot have this unless you pay 155.00 the one time fee...Then after that they will tell...now for sure you need us to clean your aura after that horrible spell...that is a onetime fee of 250.....Love those people bless them and release them........................

i believe strongly in the power of suggestion. That can do so much either way. i don't know if you can actually put a curse on someone, but ifyou can, someone put one on me. i am a curse to myself and everyone else. i don't believe you can "send out" karma. That is not the definition of karma. Karma is getting back what YOU give, not what someone else gives you. If you do bad, you get bad in return. Unfortunately, sometimes we get big time bad for little bad done. DOes that make sense?

it's Wiccan, rather than Pagan. most Pagan paths beleive in personal responsibility, rather than some kind of Karmic retribution
