I went outside just recently and found a few surprises that I will start sharing with this discussion. Most members here know I have a love of gardening. Well I've many different fruits and veggies growing. I planted strawberries about 5 or 6 weeks ago. Well I have 5 bright red Strawberries now. And a couple of the plants have shoots spreading and rooting already. Now I've got to dig and clear a larger area for these as I want many, many more strawberries. Here's a close up of one of my deliciously red Strawberries. Now the fight will be on as to whom gets these few berries to east. HAHAHA!! Thanks. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

On my way to your house Bob - don't touch those strawberries, I'll gladly help you take care of them :) Yes, next to chocolate strawberries are my favorite food :)

We planted strawberries about 5 years ago and they produced fruit the first and second years, but stopped after that. What little berries that grew were quickly eaten by the robins that thought we planted them just for them.

What a maginificant looking strawberry. Just about ripe. As well as making srtwberry jam, there is nothing like fresh srtawberries & cream. I rated your photo & made a comment. I forget to say in my last response to you, that I did are the photo of the blue heron & wrote a comment.

No need to fight for the berries. I'll just kindly take them for myself. :-D My strawberries are done for the year but are sending out runners faster than I can guide them to bare spots so as not to have too much crowding in one spot and nothing in another spot. The mulberries are ripe and been picking them but for some reason, they have yet to make it to the kitchen let alone the freezer. lol The black raspberries are ripening up as well and pretty soon I'll have lots of blackberries. All growing wild at the edge of the woods surrounding my property.

Wow! Now that looks yummy if I were you I would be melting some chocolate to dip that in. LOL I have strawberries also but they are like the size of raisins so I don't think I will get a harvest this year.

My husband loves to garden too. He's got a few plants out back right now. Tomatoes, squash,... He came home yesterday and went back there. He came in and was so excited because he had more tomatoes now. LOL Those strawberries look really good. I'm going to make him do strawberries next.
