Broadband connection stops during rainy season?

I am using a broadband connection and it sucks for the past few days cus it slows down and stops when it rains. Is there a way not to experience this. According to the customer service, it really slows down....the more it sucks to know! What if it rains in a month, I will have no internet connection for one month! Any experts there to share their knowledge?

No, I wish I had an answer..I am actually on satellite broadband, so I am constantly getting cut off or it slows right down, due to the weather, clouds blocking the signal, rain or wind interupting the signal..It drives me insane sometimes, but theres nothing that i can do about it, so I just plod along.

at least it's good to know that I'm not the only one experiencing this one. Thank you or sharing your ideas and experiences. It will lessen my anger with my ISP.

I feel for you because I experience the same, really sucks! Sometimes, it needs a back up of at least dial up or DSL for rainy season. So try having a back up connection.

For now, it will be expensive on my part but will consider that. Thank you so much!

When it rains here it shuts down the Internet. I mean the entire Internet, dial up, broad band, and everything in between. The problem is the info-structure in Prescott bites cheese. When ever someone gets drunk and runs into a pole, half the city goes dark!

I have come across this one with one of my friends who has an internet cafe. He said that they're connection is choppy or totally stops when it rains because they're using satellite type of internet. Yeah, it's really fast during the times when it's sunny but it really sucks when it's rains. I think your service provider has that type of net connection. In turn, our satellite cable too stops when it rains. It's really frustrating because, just when you can't go out because it's raining hard, then you can't watch t.v. because there's no connection. Whew! On the other hand, my internet is still fast regardless. Whether it rains or is sunny, the connection is the same. Maybe my net server has fixed that sort of problems or is using another type of system. You should ask them. Otherwise, go transfer. There's no sense of being connected to something that doesn't work when you need it to work. =)
