So, how's everyone doing with Helium so far? Still enjoying writing there? I have 8 articles put up and earn around USD7. I have been a little lazy lately and haven't written there much. What about you? How often do you write there and how you are doing with it so far?

Weird. I tried after reading your message and it's perfectly fine there! I guess it happens upon different geographical locations? Anyway, let me know after you have written something so I can read *laughs*.

I found the mistake of the link above. Instead of helium.com). you should just type in www.helium.com I am not into referral type of a person, so just go there straight and sign up.

I think it'll be good and godly if you could define what helium is and what it's all about. maybe some of us don't know what it is and if known may like to join. isn't it?

It's a writing site for people to write their articles and then you can paid per view. I think it's good for people who love to write.

I am not doing much of anything to promote the few Helium articles that I've written, but there is one little poem that is doing rather well. I have earned more from it than from all the articles I've written for Triond and Helium put together. I thought nobody would like it and I hesitated to even put it on Helium. Now I'm thinking I'd better write a few more to submit.

We always criticize ourselves a little too harsh! I am glad that you did put up that poem and people like it! Sure you will do well. It's a matter of courage and trial and error! Good luck around there!

*Laughs*! I love how you described it! It's too much like work! So I have be really in the mood to do it, otherwise, I would just freak myself out! I think we can't get all the good ratings in the world but I am sure it's really encouraging to get "some" good ratings! It's better than the monetary reward! I wish you good luck with your posting.

Yes, courage! That rating system almost scared me off, but like you, I've got some good ratings, so now it is noty so threatening. I like competition, but it is too much like work.

I try to write something once a week. I'm up to 21 articles. My recycling article is doing the best. I'm only around 2 dollars. My name is the same there as it is here. Take care

I can't be this moody forever! *laughs* Now with your information, I really need to work super hard! Wish you good luck with your articles!

My goal is to have enough articles to have Helium pay me every month $25. In order to do that, I've read on the community boards that 200 to 300 or more articles need to be under your name there. So I have to push and persue my goal. The others with 200 to 300 reached a point where there was payout once or twice a month. In 2013, I retire, so I have to have all my angles figured out. So it depends on your goals. I want some $ now (mylot) and some money later (helium). Take care

It's basically a place for you to write on different topics and if you love to write, then it is for you. Besides, it's paid when people view your articles. 4 views = 1 penny, so you got a promote your articles too!

As I noted earlier in this discussion, it is possible to reach payout and get money from Helium. I got my first $25 and am on my way to the second payment. I get lazy and don't write for awhile, so I probably could be earning more if I would step it up. I also write for Gather and for Associated Content, so I use the different sites for different types of writing. Helium is good in that I don't have to think of the topics. I write what they suggest (when I know something about it of course). The way to bump up your earnings is to do the contest. (They don't have any at the moment, but they do run them pretty often.) Even if you are not the top winner (I won $5 a few times), the extra bump in earnings makes it that much quicker to payout. Good luck with your writing at Helium!

Thanks! You have done a great job! I finally added my 9th piece in helium yesterday and kind of feel proud with myself because I squeezed myself to do it (have been lazy for too long). I look forward to working more there and I know I will get the payment sometimes!

I have 24 articles there at Helium and earned about $5.46 so far. I didn't do any promoting, nor have I have any referrals. For a while, I didn't write anything, then I jump in, writing 3 articles for the contest for the last 3 weeks. I told myself not to think about winning, just write. I can't spit out 10-15 articles a week like others. Keeping in that perspective, I just write what I like. However, you do have to rate other articles too, if you want to see any activities in your earning.

Really? Rating articles count too? I almost never have time to sit down there and read quietly. I always go in write my stuff and then leave.

I've heard about this site before, maybe in one of your discussions? Well, I'm not doing well nor bad as I've never visited the site! Hahaha! I should check it out soon though, as you seem to be very satisfied with it. Good luck!

The last time I submitted an article to Helium was around May. I have no intention of posting any more. I personally think it's a hell of a lot of work for little money, and I'm glad I came to that realisation sooner rather than later. Good luck to those who continue to persevere.

Oh, I am so envious of you because I've only earned like USD5 so far for my 60+ articles! How long did it take for you to get to USD7 with 8 articles? I'm sure it must have took ages....I'm definitely enjoying writing there, even though at times I have to leave writing on helium for more important things I have to do, such as studying for uni exams and stuff. Like you, I have been slacking a bit lately but since now is post-exam period, I will be posting articles more regularly and I plan to compete in the current Channel Champions contest as well. It's a good thing that helium runs these contests because it's a fast way to earn side income; better still is that it's weekly... =)
