I am having one of those days ... ever feel like you do things in your job or in your life and something goes wrong and it was because you didn't do the right to begin with?? Sometimes I walk around and think what a dummy I am, perhaps I just need to slow down

I think all of us have those days. I know I certainly do. Sometimes I do such stupid things! Lucky for me, my husband has a great sense of humor and makes a joke about those things so we both can laugh. Don't let these days get you down! It may be you are trying to do too much to fast. Don't take life too seriously...you're not going to get out of it alive anyway! lol!!

Believe me, texas, I know the feeling. In fact, I am just now coming out of a situation where I would have fared much better if I had made the right choices in the first place. I sat here thinking, "How could I have gotten myself into this situation?" Often we are victims of our kind hearts. If you are this type of person sometimes people will use you for all you are worth. I know that I will never change, but, I must learn to be more cautious. I think this might also apply to you.

Guilty as charged your honour! The amount of times I think how daft, how idiotic! Even my tutor once said to me that I am soooo hard on myself! I am, if I do something wrong, or don't say anything, like speaking up for myself or I have made the same mistake I promised myself I would never do again, I come down on myself like a tonne of bricks! I get days when I am a number one dunce! I'll have to stand in the corner again LOL!

oh hell yeah. for five years i have been working in the showbusiness. being the newbie five years ago i was hungry for training. i wanted to be promoted coz i know i am good at it. then there comes this person whom i trusted and offered to train me as an assistant director. that position being my goal at the time, i could not resist the offer. i left the company i was working for and started doing freelance with her. now here comes the projects in both TV and films. She promised to pay for my talent fee. since i considered her to be a friend i never asked for it or demanded that i get paid for a certain amount coz i know i was using her for the experience. i never got paid even at the end of the project. i gave up all offers in the hope of getting my promotion. now i ended up with no project at all. for five years i ended up not accomplishing anything. i wasted my entire time just to end my career. and i saw some people whom i have trained who are now assistant directors. have i been a dummy or what? dummy is the right word. my services have been used but did not get anything in return. life is unfair. when you know you can do better than the other people who are currently doing your real job. it really sucks.

The real me.. - this is me..so better deal with it!
I can't be a dummy if I know deep within me I am real.Yet,some people may misunderstood me,dont recognize my existence, and dont even bother to take a simple glimpse of my worth.. but this is what I want to say.. WHAT YOU SEE IS NEVER ALWAYS WHAT YOU GET..JUDGE ME?well,it depends on WHAT YOU SEE..but KNOWING ME?is your creativity to look deeper..peel whatever cover you could see..because deep within me is WHAT MAKES HUMAN..NOT PERFECT..JUST THE REAL ONE. --this is how I motivate myself..I always told that to those people who thinks that I am a dummy..and it really works..

Are you overdoing it on the multi tasking? Most recent studies indicate that women are doing themselves a disservice by multitasking and that they tend to make mistakes and things go wrong because they are trying too hard. It makes us feel like dummies. We are not, we are just overworked and over committed.

Lol. The same thing happened to me just last weekend at my in laws house. I didn't intend to cook for our Ramadhan break fast but my husband insisted that I cook his favorite dish the "Three Flavors Siakap Fish" with oyster sauce and assorted vegetables. I was not in the mood at all to cook, and because of the tiredness of fasting, I felt so stupid and not able to concentrate. I felt as if there were so many things to do in a time frame of less than two hours before the break fast and nobody is helping me at that time. Even simple things made me stop and ponder what to do. Lol. I got beef and fish to be fried using the same wok but those two things made me confused. I had to ask my mother in law which one to fry first because I was so confused at that time, what more to prepare cutting all the vegetables, onion, garlic, ginger, to blend the dried chili, grass lemon and later to prepare the drinks. I just told her "I feel stupid today. Please tell me what to fry first, meat or fish?" Fortunately my mother in law understands that I was tired so she told me without being sarcastic that I should fry the fish first so that it won't stick to the wok if I fry the meat first. Lol. Such an easy task but I got confused.

Yes my friend it's OK we all get those days much as we wish we didn't. The last time I made a goof up was just this morning. My husbands brother lives with us. He has cerbral palsy and needs to be cared for so he lives with us. I had to correct him on something he was doing and because he has a bad temper he yelled at me and said, "I DON"T KNOW WHAT I"M DOING." Without missing a beat I said, "Boy do you have that right" Not cool I should have had better control but it was a terrible day for me. Weak excuse I know. Take care...

Yes! And the most common thing I found is that I compromised my decisions - happens every time! So, my lesson is to be honest with myself in what I do with people and my physical things and I have smooth sailing. sunnywaters

Judging from just what I know about you here at myLot, texasclassygal, I am sure that it is that you just need to slow down and has NOTHING to do with being a dummy. Dummy is just not a word that comes to mind when I think of you. I think we are all guilty sometimes of just needing to slow down a bit... life does that to us. And yes, sometimes I do things and then think to myself, 'what a dummy' out of frustration. I think you need to lighten up on yourself, my friend.

That would probably be a good start...slowing down. I have those days too where I am a clutz or things go wrong because I didn't take the time I needed to make sure what I was doing was correct. Hope tomorrow is better.....but you probably aren't a dummy at all! Just in a hurry!

We all do the dummy dance at some point in our life. Just this weekend my son-in-law did something really dumb. Now installing new doors is not that hard of a job you do need to be sure they are LEVEL. Well he had forgotten to bring his level with him to make sure the doors were level. Well we tied a string with weights on it and used that as a level like the old timers did many moons ago. Now as far as me doing something stupid? How can you ask such a question of a kind smart and intelligent grandfather? HAHAHAHA! J/K thanks. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
