I loved Ramen Noodles for many years. A cheap, quick and tasty little snack for the late night munchies. I preferred the Oriental flavored ones. Now days I eeat just plain noodles with various toppings. No meat for these late night snacks thank you very much. HAHAHA! Most times I just add butter, salt, and pepper. I also add just French dressing dribbled over them. Yummy. I also add a seasonsed salt at times with a blob of butter. They aren't filling and are very easy & quick to make. So do you eat plain noodles with a topping? What style noodles do you prefer? What toppings have you used and what is your favorite? Thanks for sharing. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

This is what I do with Ramon Noodles, you have grandsons, you will have to give it a try. The boys will love it. I make worms, sometimes Fear Factor worms, sometime The Hulk worms, Spiderman Worms, Bloody Meat worms. I cook the noodles, drain them, add some butter, some seasoning and then the secret ingredient. Food coloring, the kids love it. It makes something so simple as noodles, so much fun to eat. I asked my grandson if his mom makes worms, he said no, she only makes noodles. I will also make green eggs and ham, even red eggs. It makes things special for the boys. I like eating the plain noodles, I don't need the secret ingredient. You should see the chocolate milk dance, hahahaha.

well i really dont eat much(esp. instant) noodles..since ive heard that the noodles itself contains wax or something and that thing is bad for our health..my friend sent me an email regarding noodles on how to cook it...noodles should be boiled first then transfer the noodles to another container since the wax on it will wash away after a first boil..then we are safe to eat it..and besides there are so much sodium on it...well i am just sharing what i know hope you dont mind..

I've always rinsed my pasta after cooking them. I pour the cooked noodles into the colander then I run hot water over them for a minute or two. Never knew why just I've done this since I can recall. I think it's because my mom did the same when I was a child. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Ramen noodles are cheap but they are also so doggone salty! They are not healthy really. But I created my own version of ramen noodles. I took angle hair noodles because they are thin and boiled them in water with a dash of sea salt. Then after they boiled, I drained them and added a glob of butter/margarine. Next, I added powdered garlic (no salt added), curry, a dash of sea salt, teriyaki sauce, a dash of red pepper, parsley, and onion powder, and a little bit of milk. Let me tell you that they are the best noodles. Sometimes, I might throw in some frozen vegetables and that's good too!

No they really aren't healthy. Maybe that's why I like them so much? Hahahaha!!! As far as spaghetti goes I only use and eat Angel hair as well. I hate thick spaghetti noodles. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My husband is a big fan of Ramen Noodles too and he likes any flavor other than shrimp. He can't stand shrimp and my parents get a kick out of that. However he'll eat them for lunch or a when ever snack. As for myself, I'm not much into them.

My hubby and or children loves to eat all kinds of pasta. Be it noodles. They can eat from breakfast to dinner with noodles as part of the menu. I am not a lover of noodles. But I do eat it once in awhile. I am into fresh vegies, meat, fish and rice.

I like ramen noodles, although I don't use the powder that comes with them, or if I do, I just add a little bit. I like to drop in an egg to cook with them, and maybe some chopped up broccoli.

I don't really care for the ramen noodles but my husband likes them. I don't really eat plain noodles either. The only time I eat noodles is if I make a pasta salad or if I make spaghetti or something like that.

i usually chuck the lil flavor packets that come with them (too salty) and put something like cream of mushroom soup with a slice of cheese, hot sauce, and maybe some cut up broccoli on it. occasionally i just add butter and garlic and eat it that way.never tried french dressing-i may have to do that:)

Sometimes I make the ramen noodles then drain the water almost completely from them then I'll add the packet like salt. It's better that way to me. I tend to love salty foods too much I think. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I love to eat that kind of noodles as a snack before dinner...sort of light lunch?? I happen to live in a neighborhood that has a lot of oriental grocers and they have like a million different brands and types and flavorings--you would have a field day here...hey...if you send me the fruitcakes you get, I'll send you a bunch of noodles...LOL

Hubby seriously dislikes pasta, so it just does not happen here, at least not very often. I do buy the ramen noodles, in a cup or in a package either way. I can turn it into a very fast lunch box meal by throwing in a few frozen veggies and some fully cooked salad shrimp until warm. I like them plain as well. My first husband introduced me to ramen noodles after a tour of duty that stopped for several months in Japan. He would get them with eggs poached in the broth and thin slices of ham. At home he considered that when I did this it was a special dinner. I would garnish this bowl of soup or plate of noodles, whatever you would call it, with sliced scallions. I think I may go cook some pasta right now, while hubby is working, so I can pack it in my lunches next week. LOL. Even the smell of boiling pasta makes him feel ill.

Someone mentioned Ramen noodles on My Lot a few weks ago. As I had never heard of them, I did a bit of a search & discovered that they are what we call 2 minute noodles. I love them, but try not to have them too much as they are quite high in fat. My favourite would be Thai noodles. Sometimes I add noodles to a mince meal which makes it very tasty. There are some great, healthy & cheap noodle recipes around. Here is one: CABBAGE - RAMEN NOODLE SALAD 1 med. head cabbage 2 pkgs. chicken Ramen noodles 2 cans white meat chicken 1/2 c. slivered almonds 1/4 c. sesame seeds 1/2 c. oil 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. seasoning salt 3 tbsp. vinegar Salt & pepper to taste Shred cabbage. Break up Ramen noodles into the shredded cabbage. Add chicken. Toast almonds and sesame seeds in oven until lightly browned. Add to cabbage mixture. Combine oil, sugar, seasoning salt, vinegar, salt and pepper with seasoning packets from Ramen noodles. Mix with cabbage mixture and refrigerate

I like Ramen noodles but my all time fave is the wide egg noodles drenches in butter and freshly-grated Parmason/Romano cheeses with a sprinkling of chives or basil.

I like Ramen Noodles too, my favorite are the chicken kind. I always drained the water though and just had the noodles not the soup. I think that's what most people do. They're so bad for you though!
