Ever have your doctor yell at you?

...Yesterday, I thought my doctor was going to spank me! I made the appointment to see her over two and a half weeks ago. There were follow up issues for my kids that I wanted to address with her verses another doctor in the clinic, so I waited for appointments for all three of us, back to back. ...Honestly, I thought I just had a cold that turned into broncitis. As it turns out, my asthma flared up. If my children were not with me, she would have sent me to the hospital. It hurts so bad to breathe, speak or cough. ...To top it off, I almost ended up in the ER last night anyways. One of the prescriptions she gave me, I had a sever allergic reaction to. It is an inhaler that I was supposed to take before bed. Shortly after I turned out the light, my throat became itchy, then began to swell. The roof of my mouth, my tounge and my upper lip joined the fun. It has been many years since I have had a reaction like this. I no longer have an eppi kit. Since I have been though a very bad, almost died reaction, I knew what to do. KEEP CALM! I got up, sat in a chair, sipped very cold water and talked myself through it. ...My follow up appointment is next Wednesday. ...Another time I was yelled at for waiting eleven day before coming in with a migraine headache. He was so mad at me, he gave me the shot in the butt!! He asked me why I waited so long and I told him I kept thinking it would go away eventually. ...Working in the medical field for as long as I did, I know it is the doctor that usually gets yelled at. So I was wondering if anyone else has been yelled at by their doctor? ...Thank you for sharing and peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della

Years ago not only did a doctor yell at me but he refused to treat me any more because I would not quit smoking! He said he didn't want me to ruin his perfect record! lol...

About 15 years ago, a local dentist began scolding me. But that wasn't the worst part. I never received a receipt for the money I paid for fillings, etc. Needless to say, I ditched the idiot and found myself a very good dentist. He tries to be soothing and funny, as appropriate, but works fast and does a good job. It's bad enough to pay obscene amounts of money to health professionals without being forced to take their lip service too.

He didn't raise his voice to me, but when I was expecting my son my doctor got on to me because I didn't go in before my usual appointment when it was plain that I had bronchitis because I was very funny about taking medicines when pregnant. He told me they wouldn't give me anything that would hurt my baby and that I shouldn't have waited. I told him I trusted them, it was just my feelings, I was very concerned about hurting my baby. As it turned out, that was on a Friday but I had to go see him in the hospital over the weekend because I got worse. You won't believe this, but I drove myself to the hospital while in labor and didn't know it because I was in no pain whatsoever!! When I got there he told the nurses to hook me up to a monitor and when the nurse checked me she looked at me funny and said "Did you know you are having contractions?" I said "No maam, I felt Braxton Hicks while driving over here." She said "No honey, you are having real contractions and you are dilated 4 cm.!!" I was totally shocked. So I wound up having my baby the same day!! Have a terrific day!

Well, actually I haven't been yelled at by any doctors so far.But I had been cheated coldly by many doctors.Doctors, in my hometown, are respected by the villagers. And many want to get on well with the doctors in case they get ill, they can get better cheatment. And gradually, the doctors take the respect they get for granted, their attitudes towards the patient depend on their mood.there were a few times that i was so unlucky being cheated badly by them.when they did the injection on me,they were as if were cheating a devil or what.it was really unforgetable experience.

my doctor yelled at me because I had come in twice in two weeks the second time was to ask him to put me on Metformin for my diabetes he said sarcastically we should put your name on this room you come in so often. Now I have notbeen back to him since as I did not deserve that at all. I am seriously thinking of changing doctors even if he has sent me a reminder to come in for a check up. I lost respect for him.
