Finally! Yes I finally got me my Ribbon Candy. I have bugging my wife with my whining of wanting some Ribbon Candy for over a week now. Also my daughter got tired of hearing my begging etc. This photo is the box my wife and daughter brought home over the weekend after all my begging. The problem though is this is just the standard peppermint flavor and just red & white colored. I searched many a store in two weeks looking for the box of the multiple colored Ribbon Candy to no avail. I am going to a couple candy stores soon to look for them. I am sure they'll have my "real" ribbon candy. So have you ever eaten ribbon candy at all? Do you prefer the typical Chrsitmas flavor of peppermint? Or do you prefer the various colors? I want coclored Ribbon candy. NOW! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

OMG!! Thanks for bringing back a delicious memory from my childhood! I haven't had Ribbon Candy since I was maybe 9 or 10 but I loved it. I also loved all the different colors and flavors. Please let me know if you find any of the multi-colored. I'm far away from you in Pennsylvania but if you find it in a chain store maybe there's hope for me to find some too. Yum, yum, YUMMY! Annie

We always had an assortment of hard candy, and I do not remember the ribbon candy ever being red and white and peppermint. I will tell you what I found to be gross, though. That was the hard candy that was filled with some kind of jelly, or preserves, but it was not anything I recognized. I liked the candy that was tubular shaped and had a picture in the middle of it, like a Christmas tree, or whatever. I was fascinated with trying to figure out how the candy makers got those pictures inside that candy. I do not remember what it was called, either. I remember red, white, and green candy that was wintergreen flavored, mainly because my mom hated it. I remember little pillow shaped hard candies of all colors, they certainly were pretty. I liked the Butterscotch ones that were filled with a peanut butter filling. Thanks for the memories.

I have a can of holiday hard candies as well in my house. I am a candyaholic. HAHAHA! I loved the hard candy that had fruit fillings in the center made in Poland. Not jellies but real fruit fillings. Yummy! Can't get them here in Minnesota. I have to rely on my brother to bring some from Mi=chigan when he visits us. Butterscotch with PB filling was great also. Yummy! Excuse me I need a piece of candy right now. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I haven't seen candy like that at all. It's rather attractive. My kids love the christmas candy. They give it away to their friends at school just before the holidays. And I have to put candy in their stockings. But no, this design is a new one to me. I commented on your photo. I forgot to mention that I commented on the photo of your Dad too.

Plus the daughter likes that I eat it as it possibly saves a trip to the dentist at lweast once for the grandkids. HAHAHAHA! Now wheres my candy from the Phgilippines dang it? I'm waiting for it to arrive via the mail or FedEx etc. Hurry up and don't be late now. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa Bob, Wow, you've really made me hungry here, and we're all out of snacks at the moment. Woe is me! I've rated and commented on your photos. I remember ribbon candy, as my mom used to buy it, all of those years ago. I know we can still get it here. I'm sure you mean the kind that comes in cinnamon, fruit flavour, etc. etc., and of course resembles ribbon.:) For me it's Ferrero Rocher, as I love those things. I 'have' to have them in my stocking, and not just one of those puny three packs. It's got to be the larger box. I only get these at Christmas. My daughter's favourites are chocolate covered peppermint patties. Oh, I just thought of these. Do you remember coconut covered chocolate snowballs? My mom used to always get those. I haven't had them in years. What about old-fashioned creams and jellies. I think you can still get these. Now you've gone and done it, Grandpa Bob, as I'm so hungry for some of these things ... I'll never be able to wait until Christmas now. HAHA!

I love those too. They're Terry's chocolate oranges, and they're my daughter in law's favourite. Peppermint bark sounds yummy. I love almond bark too! Too much to choose from. Christmas is a wonderful time to indulge in these treats!:)

Peanut brittle's one I didn't think of, but I love it. It is hard on the teeth though. I can still manage almond bark. Isn't ribbon candy hard, or am I mistaken?

I haven't seen ribbon candy since I was at my grandmas house when I was a little girl. She always had it around the holidays. My favorite candy would be the little solid chocolate balls that have different color foil wrapping.

Ribbon candy is my favorite candy. I was just in walmart the other day and forgot to get me some. The various colors is what I buy. I just wish they would sell the ribbon candy all year around, not just for the holidays.

Oh does that box of ribbon candy bring back memories. My grandmother always had ribbon candy around during the holidays. I'm sure you could probably find the real thing online..but shipping would probably be outlandish. I am like you, I prefer the multiple colors and flavors. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and good luck with your search!

I haven't had that in years. Now I want some too. Guess I'll have to go out looking for it tomorrow. I like the kind with all the different colors. The plain red and white is too boring.
