Well, sometimes. Most of the time when I read something inspirational it touches me, but then, I usually forget it over the course of time because I get busy with my life and other things replace the thought. Probably if I read inspirational thoughts everyday it my be uplifting enough to sustain me through the day. So I am half and half on that one..lol

I do think that quotes and sayings help..sometimes we can be going through something terrible and something someone comes by and says ..really lifts us up. I use to frequent a site that had a thought for a day..Many times that thought fit right into how and what I was feeling at the time.

Hi lucky! I think your blog is going to be an interesting one because of the topic. Love is something so many people in the world don't understand. It is something that if exercised, will make the world a better place than we can imagine. I will visit your blog to see what it contains. Thanks and have a great day.

Sometimes I think there are quotes that will hit you at the right moment and make you think or motivate you. I have been inspired by the likes of Aristotle, Nietsche and so on. I really think that these important historical figures and leaders, even celebrities of great character can make a difference with quotes or their thoughts.

I like quotes and sayings a lot but I don't have any favorite. Mostly it depends on the situation. Like for example the saying: "If you don't like something change it, if you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain". Another one that I like is: "Practice what you preach". This one is a bit tough to apply in life. I also like: "Respect begets respect" and "You reap what you sow". I even remember when I was in high school I used to carry all around a pocket dictionary of quotes which I have read over and over. It was quite good :-)

Hey l_w, I think adage's are helpful in life-I have some:you reap what you sow, never take candy from strangers, believe only half of what you see & none of what you read,if it seems too good to be true it probably is +'s |:)

Here is one for you that my Great Aunt wrote in and book for me when I started to date boy she was trying to give words of wisdom I think..... When making love at garden's gate. Remember love is blind...But neighbor ain't. One that my Grandmother wrote when I was young that I try to live by.... If a task is once begun never leave it, till it's done Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all Hope that can help you a little.

Quotes motivate me to do better and work hard in life and also help me to stay calm and composed. Here are some quotes: "When you are struggling you are actually growing deeper and stronger roots. It only helps you rise higher." "We should not be excited by joy or very depressed by sorrow because both come and go." "What is speed without direction or smartness without goodness."

someone near where I work frequently does grafiti using stencils. recently I've seen a few saying Be the change you want to see in the world. which I thought was a really good sentiment.

I think quotes and sayings sometimes give me an insight into life, but the most profound realisations come from my (Zen) meditation that I do each morning that I place on my Zen blog. I've seen your blog and will pleased to exchange links with you if you wish. Whilst Zen can be applied to most things in life, it is not for everybody though :-)

Im sure your familiar with this one: "Experience is the best teacher" But I came across this other one, and it really made me see things differently and i just can't forget it: "Experience is the teacher of fools" However, I don't remember who said it..

"don't take life seriously, no one gets out alive anyway" i love that quote.. anyway, i think in a way, aphorisms give us something to think about and guide us through life. so i guess anyone who's "words to live by" exceeded theiron lives are trully gifted individuals and that it'll do us good to listen to some of them.

I always see those quotes on Church signs and I love them. They make so much sens and they do inspire me. I can't think of them right now except for one, "Peace begins with a smile" I wish I could think of more because I love them and would love to share. I need to start writing them down when I see them. Great blog by the way! :)

It would be interesting, I'm not sure how many would stumble across it but I rhink it's a good idea. I don't have any quotes worth mentioning but kudos. ~Joey
