what do you do when you are in a bad mood, to you take it out on other people, snap at them or say things sometimes that you wish you hadn't do you go an hibernate lock yourself in a room alone until you feel better and can be among people? do you try to get your mind off it, go out and take a walk, think of happy things? what is your way of telling with a bad mood.

When I am in a bad mood I try to avoid everyone around me. To do this usually I will sleep the whole day through. If I can't get to sleep becuase what I am mad about is on my mind, I get up and go for a long walk to try an clear my mind. I try to avoid people around me because I do not want to hurt them trying to deal and cope with what is bothering me. I try to think of happy things or just anything that is going to take me mind off of it. So with that said this is what I do to keep my mind off of what is bothering me.

thanks hon, I am so happy you like my threads, I do try to make them interesting, personally I could not care less how many times somebody brushes their teeth or something boring like that. dealing with a bad mood can be hard to handle at times, both for the person in the bad mood and the people around them.

When my mood is down, I usually keep to myself and become very quiet. It seems that my hubby knows when I am in this down mood and will push all the worng buttons to get me going. Bad move on his part. I usually snap. I try to keep from doing it, but the harder I try more likely I am to go off. Most of the time the mood passes and I can think more clearly. I try not to let the mood take over my entire being.

When I am in a bad mood, I just stay to myself and try to sit in silence without saying rude things and making others feel bad. I have also juts went to my room and went to bed and pulled the covers over my head so no one would have to look at me. Sometimes I go to sleep and pray for things to be better when I get up. How have you been doing, by the way? Did you get your computer fixed? How is your writing going? I haven't heard from you in a while, but I knew you had alot going on. I have to and didn't want to bother you while things were in diarray.

i used to just slam doors, or go for a walk to cool off...now i try to be a bit more patient with hubby and baby, but if i really lose my calm i go either in the bedroom or bathroom, somewhere i can be alone to cool off for a little bit, then im ok

I always try to get myself calm down by concentrating on doing thing which could make me relaxed, like driving away alone along the country road so as to ease up myself.

When I am in a bad mood, I tend to be more quiet and sensitive and my husband knows that very much. I want to be alone and want to listen to a wonderful music. That will help me get back myself and sometimes, I want also to eat or cook. Then gladly, it will not be too long, I will be in my normal attitude after the solemn time given to me..LOL

oh i lock myself in my room or in the bathroom and just revel in my emotions until i start to feel better. i dont think i can be around people if im i a bad mood. i will just not be myself and would be constantly frowning till someone notices that im in a bad mood. then im forced to open up. but what if i dont wanna tell it to them? so i stay away from people close to me during those irritable times.

It depends on where i am in? If Some body provokes me in the office, i do try to keep my cool, and on worst cases, probably one in 1000 times i burst it with a wordly duel. On other cases, i leave the scene. If the same happens to be in my house with the family members then as you said, i would go an hibernate lock in a room for some time and would remain there till i feel better. If the things are worse, then i would go out with my bike for hours together, and will return after a while.

leaving the scene when you can can defuse the situation and give you a chance to cool down or think about things. Good way of dealing with things.

Hello Winterose! Well when I am in a bad mood I like to take a long walk to the park. Doing this clears my mind. I like to think of all the positive things in my life. Surrounding myself with positivity keeps my mind off all of the negative things that has my head down. Another thing that I do to keep my mind off the things that are bothering me is play video games if that isn't helping I will read or go to sleep. Sleeping sometimes help But when I wake up they pain is still there. I also try to avoid my surroundings like nakitalikely3617 becuase I do not want to take out my frustration on innocent people around me. So with the saying of this I am out.

I enjoy being at home alone meditating, praying, and sleeping. Then after a while I feel refreshed and am good to go. I dont like being in the presence of others when in a bad mood which seldoms happens.

When I am in a bad mood, I figure out WHY I am in a bad mood and I deal with it INSTANTLY, so that it doesn't affect my mood or anyone else, any loner. It sometimes drives my husband NUTS how in control of myself I can be. I just explain to him that if I take things out on other people, as he sometimes does, I'll only make things worse, and the last thing I want to do is give someone else the satisfaction of having a valid complaint.

When I am in a bad mood I usually go over to my dog and cuddle with her. I would even talk to her and tell her why I am in a bad mood. I think my dog feels that I'm down when I am because she would look at me with questioning eyes and would wag her tail and would bob her head and would run up to me and cuddle. When my dog is not around, I would usually listen to my iPod and hearing my favorite music also lifts up my mood.

I like serenity; I like to stay at home alone and do things that are constructive. Meditation is one of them. I overcome it easily. I dont associate when am in a bad mood.
