My grandson and I are feeling a little under the weather so I thought I would make some home made chicken and noodles. I have the broth from a previous dumpling meal. I though I could get some of those store bought home made type noodles, but the stores here don't seem to carry them. My hands aren't very good for mixing something so stiff so I decided I would try mixing them in my bread machine to mix them. It really worked out well. The noodle are just the right stiffness. I just set the machine on knead.

I don't have a bread machine. But it is always great when you can find more than one use for a product, than it's intended use. Maybe one day I will get a bread machine! I will have to put it on my want list. LOL

I will have to have my daughter keep her eyes open for one when she is out at the GoodWill.

My son uses my machine when he makes homemade pizza dough. It works good. Your chicken n noodles sounds good. Specially on a cold winter day.

The thing is it was up to almost 80degrees yesterday Feb 5. We both have colds and I thought the chicken noodle soup would make us feel better. I'll have to do the pizza dough next time we want pizza.

That is so cool! I would have never in a zillion years thought of that. I will definitely have to remember that when I'm making noodles. Like you, I have a lot of trouble mixing things because of my arthritis. While I love my homemade noodles, kneading them has always been hard on my hands, and I haven't been making them as often. Thank you most kindly for this wonderful hint!!

This is interesting. I know I would have never thought of doing something like this. I know way back I used to Love making homemade Chcken noodle soup, and such but never wanted to take the time. This could make it a lot faster for sure. Thanks for sharing this.

The bread machine makes the mixing of the noodle dough much easier for sure. I don't know if it will make the whole process faster or not because you still have to roll out the dough, let it dry the cut and dry some more unless you have one of those pasta machines.

What a neat idea. I never would have thought of that. I usually only use mine for store bought bread mixes.I'll have to try that. I may just dig out my machine for it. Fresh noodles are yummy. Good tip, thanks.

what a good idea.store-bought bread dough is not easily avaiable in supermarket in china.so most people mix the bread dough to make dumpling by hands.your idea can make my mother working more easily and save more time.

I've used my bread machine to make dough but never thought to use it to knead noodles...very good idea! I love noodles and dumplings.

We rolled them out like apie crust but very thin. Let them dry for about 45 min then roll them up and cut them with a very sharp knife r one of those pizza cutters. I had better luck with a knife.

That was a great idea. I love homemade noodles. Chicken and noodles is my sons favorite meal. I love chicken and dumplings too. I have not made them in awhile. I might have to do that this week.

When I had a bread machine it was a God-send for making cookie dough, pizza dough, noodle dough, everything that needs mixing! I have to get another. They're so handy! My neighbor even used hers to make playdoh for her kids.
