Do you get irritated when ppl start alot of discussions and don't answer that many or does it matter? I love starting discussions and in fact have a notebook that I keep with discussion topics in it...but I don't start as many as I'd like to b/c I haven't been able to respond to as many as I feel I should and I think it should be a give and take thing. Sometimes, it's hard to decide whether I should respond to some or start some. I love to learn and I'm curious about everything...especially what make other ppl tick. Do you like to respond more or start more discussions? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I do get a little irritated when someone requests me as a friend and they never respond to any of my discussions. It doesn't bother me at all if they don't respond to all of them. I realize there may be some discussions where they don't really have anything to add. I prefer to respond. I don't start that many discussions.

My choice is to reply to those who have responded to my discussions, certainly, before starting any new ones, so I do not sit down and start 3 or 4 new ones, but rather eke them out one at a time, maybe two at most. If someone starts a zillion discussions and never ever replies to mine, then ZAP, I go find them on my friend list and hit Delete, slower than a speeding bullet, but eventually. If it is someone interesting, though, who is conscientious about replying to comments I make on their discussions, but they just never come to mine, probably I will eventually ask them why are you doing that? I might even say in a response, "Say didn't I just reply to 30 of your discussions are you are conspicuous in your absence in my own." and if they don't like it they can delete me, and if they just keep it up, then instead of trying to figure out who to shun or not, I would just delete them. I'd sooner delete a friend than get annoyed....not interested in putting up with the irritation in hopes of growing a pearl, you know.

I mostly respond to discussions. I don't start many because I just don't have any ideas. When I do come up with something I will then post it. I do appreciate all the responses I get. I do understand about being irritated when someone starts a bunch of discussions and you respond to them and they don't respond that much if at all to yours. I do know we all get busy here and its hard to keep up, so I try not to get too upset. BTW I am not talking about you, so don't worry there.

I get my ideas for discussions from my everyday life. Things that happen to me or things I see and or run across. I write things down so I can recall them to start a discussion that day or at a later time. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

if you read the guidelines they tell you not to response to your own discussions it doesn't give you any points, but I do because I want to and I enjoy participating in a topic I obviously thought was worth it. I start 3 a day and respond to much more.

Well twoey, I think that's cool that you keep a notebook with discussion topics. I like to start discussions but often run out of ideas until one *pops* into my head- then I do a slew of them. Like tonight, I started 3 discussions. Now I might not start any more for a week. But I also definitely like to respond to interesting discussions. Luckily, most of my Mylot friends start great discussions!

I didnt know that people start discussions instead of posting because you get paid for answering discussions. I think there would be more people replying and not starting anything new to talk about.

I start 3-4 a day but respond to as many as I can. i am picky about what I respond to because I don't like given simple answer. I like to TRY and explain why I fill the way I do.

I prefer to respond. I can't always think of an interesting discussion to start so it's easier for me to respond. I totally agree with you about give and take when it comes to discussions. I answer so many, as many as time allows, but don't always have the favor of a reply returned. I like the social interaction moreso than the actual earnings.

It doesn't bother me that much. To each his own I say. I like the chatting back and forth in mine personally. The only thing(s) that bug me here are the discussions about news that I can find myself if I wanted to. Also all the discussions about other sites that pay bother me. But those I mostly ignore if I don't want to read them. But other than that it's a great site actually for friendshiop and knowledge that can be learned about people and other cultures, beliefs etc. I have no prefrence of starting or responding. It all depends on my feelings when I get online. Sonme days I start 10 or more discussions and respond to just a few. Other days I start none and respond to many discussions. So it's all in how I feel at the time. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I prefer to respond to discussions. I always have a hard time coming up with an unique discussion that no one else has thought of. I am having a hard time finding discussions that I can come up with a good response. I want make sure that I don't sound stupid (LOL), so I read more than I do either.

Actually I answer way more than I start and no it doesn't really bother me. I'm different in the fact that when I am unable to answer the post people on my friends list already know I'm not a well person and they all love me unconditionally. What does irrate me badly is when I'm having a bad day or a rant and I do a post saying what happened and what was said, done or whatever and someone comes along and puts me down for thinking that way because that's not the way it is. I think to myself, "As if he/she even knows." But there's all kinds even at myLot hon.

I prefer to respond to my friends' discussions than start some of my own. I'm not very good at putting in writing what I'm thinking. I sometimes confuse myself when I read my responses b4 posting.

Personally I much rather respond to discussions than start discussions, mainly because I cannot respond to every single response I get to the discussions I have started, because of the time factor, I know so many people put a lot of time and thought into responding to my discussions, and not being able to thank each and every one personally for their response and kind thoughts and sharing their stories and experiences, but I am sincerely grateful to them. I always have an email box full of notifications so I am always kept busy responding, so I don't have much time to start discussions!

it also irritates me when i do not get the comments for responses. i only start any discussion when i really want to share something. Not just to start numerous discussion each day. instead i luike to answer more discussions than starting myself.

Hi Twoey...we haven't chatted in awhile and hope you have recovered from the fiasco your visitor's created in your personal space. Things are going well here and hopefully we can touch in more in the coming weeks. Also I like your cute Avatar...happy Valentine's Day to you as well. Now in regard to your discussion. I do not get irritated when people do not respond to my responses on their sites...and sometimes I cannot even get back to them to see whether they did or not. On my site I do my best to respond to every response and keep threads going when the interest is there to do so. I like to divide the time I spend positing discussions and responding. What I find is with my wordy comments I often only have time to respond on my site after posting a discussion. So I haven't posted much until yesterday when I had some annoying music on my site that I could not remove. Once again Mylotter jumped to the rescue and now it is gone...thankfully. So for the next few days I plan to pop around and support friends on their site the way they always do on mine. That is why I am here...saying hi and letting you know that I value our Cyber friendship...and you! Take care and have a happy heart-centered Valentine's Day filled with lots of love! Cheers, Raia
