I phoned the RSPCA today and because I am on Disability and I live alone Gissi is entitled to free Treatment by their Vet
I explained about Gissi to them and that he could bite but he is not a vicious natured Dog
The Gentleman on the Phone calmed me down and said that they understand and that all it is panic on Gissi's part as it is a lot in small Dogs specially Dogs that have been mistreated, he told me not to worry that they will be very gentle and if the Mussle does not work they will slightly sedate him
So tomorrow Morning I have to take Gissi to them, I have to take proof of ID and proof of Disability with me
They will give him a good checking over to, so hopefully tomorrow my Baby will be better again and no pain
I want to thank you all for being concerned and keeping him in your Prayers and thoughts
I will update you all tomorrow how he is when we get back
Hugs to you

Yes I am so happy that I know this now I don't need to worry and as they deal with rescued Animals they are used to all sorts and he is aware how Gissi will react and he told me that is very normal as it is panic it is like us hitting out in panic

Gabs maybe they can remove that dueclaw all together so Gissi will not have to deal with this problem ever again.
I am so glad you are going to get free medical care of your sick little fellow. I know they have ways to clam them down so I know he will be fine.
Mum I am here to tell you these people are trained to deal with Gissi and they know that he is not a Bad doggie that he is just scared and his foot hurts.
Good luck tomorrow.
Hugs to you both

I know they will sort him
And they told me that I am not to worry that it is normal for Gissi to act this way and they have dealt with worse
See these People are the ones that rescue Animals from bad homes and that so they see all sorts so if anyone will understand my little Gissi they certainly will
I will let you know how everything went
Big Hugs back to you

OMG, Gissi! I have only just returned from my retreat to read this! What's up with my bessie mate? Oh no I go away leaving him happy and told him I wouldn't be away too long and that I would soon be back so not to miss me too much and now I hear this, big big hugs, guess I've got a lot of catching up to do, but I saw your discussion and my heart went out to you both. Hugs and I'll be especially thinking of him, keep us updated sweetheart x

That's great news gabs, about getting free treatment for Gissi at the RSPCA. It must have taken a load off your shoulders.
Now all you have to do is get Gissi there! The vet sounds like a caring person, and I'm sure they will be great with your little fellow.
We will all be waiting for your update tomorrow.
In the meantime, my prayers and thoughts are with you both. Big hugs sent your way.

Hi gabs,
I'm so happy for you, and thankful that you're able to get this care for Gissi. I know what it's like not to be able to afford a vet, when our beloved pets become ill. I was going to respond to your first discussion regarding this, but will likely just do this one, as my 'myLot glitch' with the blank pages, is still happening, and it's bothering my eyes, with all of that text, and no avatars etc. I'll continue to keep you and Gissi in my thoughts and prayers.

SO how did it go? Or you didn't go yet, I'm a bit mixed up with the dates this week LOL
I think it's great that you have a chance to have him looked over so that paw can be treated. I"m sure they know how to deal with his panic and everything will be - or was depending on when you read this :) - fine.
Gissi will be feeling much better once that is take care of .
Big hugs

I will be keeping Gissi in my prayers, gabs, and hope he will be feeling as good as new in short order. It's wonderful that there are so many organizations out there who are willing to help those of us who don't have a large income.

That sounds great that you can get free treatment for Gissi at the RSPCA! I truly hope everything will work out for Gissi and he'll behave himself! It sounds like the person you spoke to was very understanding about Gissi's behavior too. My thoughts continue to be with both of you!
