hiding vegetables

I took my kids to my moms house the other day and she had grated zucchini into meatloaf. You couldn't tell it was there. Does anyone else know any hidden recipes?

I have heard of putting finely grated carrots on hamburgers too. I often put bell peppers on dressing or stuffing. also put celery in meat loaf and soups.

thanks for the suggestions. I love vegtables but the rest of my family is another story.

I might try the grated carrots in the hamburgers sometime. It sounds like an interesting way to add veggies to a meal.

I use all sorts of vegetables in meatloafs, burgers and meatballs. If you mince them fine enough, you can't tell they're there. I keep leftover odds and ends of vegetables in the freezer, then when I make anything with ground meat, I thaw, chop or puree them and put them in it.

I never though of pureeing the vegetables. I will have to keep that in mind. Thanks for the idea. I also like the idea of keeping odds and ends in the freezer to toss into things too.

My son hates onions. Little does he know that he eats them several times a week. I chop them up small enough that he does not even know they are in there. He likes zucchini bread too. He has no idea that it has a vegetable in it. I do not do too much hiding of veggies in his food though. He will eat some veggies, so I pretty much leave him alone about the other ones.
