Where do you most look for discussions to respond to?

Do you look at the homepage, go to top discussions, to those from your interests, to hot topics, to new, recent, no responses, new user discussions? Which place do you check most often for interesting discussions? Do you often check the no responses discussions where you're more likely to get the 'best response'? Do you only look at one place, eg those from your interests, or a variety?

I start with the discussions that show up on the left of my screen. Since I'm here a good part of the day, I try to get the ones that are fresh as soon as they pop up. After I've done that, I check the activity sortie that tells what my friends have posted, hot topics of the day, etc. I'm all over the place, no real rhyme or reason.

Hello dear corilat. Most of the time I look for discussions from my mylot email notifications in my email box as I have got so many friends with their new discussions pouring in every day. It is now my favorite way to find discussions to respond to. Friends are a great asset to me as they offer so many nice and interesting and knowledgeable discussions for me to respond to every day. By the way, I used to find discussions as you listed here before I got many friends though once in a while, I do accordingly. Thanks.

I always go to discussions in my interests first. I spend most of my time there. Then I will check out discussions my friends started and then discussions with no responses. I find I get the best discussions to respond to from the myLot digest which is usually top discussions in your interests.

Well when I first log on, I look at the front page at the top discussion then work my way through the site.

All that you mentioned. Sometimes I find something I want to say to each of those catagories. I also try to get to some of the discussions my friends have started. Variety is the spice of life, and mylot. I get best response sometimes. But that is not my goal. I try to give a good response to a discussion Period.Sometimes I respond to the news articles. I just keep looking until something strikes my fancy.

I look at the Recent Discussions Page and usually see if I find something interesting there to look at. Thats how I found this discussion! I then look at Discussions my friends started and those from my interests. I saw a tab which says New USer Discussions - I'll check to see what I find there.

I just visited the New User discussions just now and found it terrible - a lot of questionable content and nonsensical discussions! I'll never go there again. I know there are a lot of sensible newbies, but they seem covered up by a lot of vague ones!

yeah, a lot of the 'new user discussions' I find seem to be very bad english, one-liner discussions, and often I can't make any sense at all what they're asking. Or maybe I just always look at the wrong time... I like recent too! (most of the time)

I usually go to either 'discussions with no responses' and 'new discussions'. It's much much more easier for me to react to discussions with lesser number of responses since I usually read responses of other people before responding. There's no sense in a discussion with many responses of the same calibrate. Though there really are times where I just look for that topic that strikes my interest. But truly, the number of people who had responded greatly influences my interest in responding. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. I just don't like discussions with a lot of responses from other people. hhee.. Maybe partly, I feel that the author would no longer have time to respond to mine (well sometimes they do respond with a monotonous thank you). =) Where do you look for discussions to respond to?

Well, most days I tend to go straight to my interests since I don't often find discussions that I can respond to in other areas. But sometimes I get bored of them, or can't find anything there, so I make my way to the other areas: I'll go to new, top, recent, and occasionally no responses or new user. Thank you for responding! :)

Hello Corilat, I usually open four to five windows of mylot. Two windows is open for discussions I've started, and Discussions My Friends Started. The other windows will vary, I visit top discussions, new discussions and hot discussions. I seldom visit discussion with no responses. I don't care how much best responses may I have though I would be happy to receive Best Response. I am more interested of topics that is responded by most and discussion my friends started. This past few days, I am unable to be as active as like before. I am occupied with something that eats my time for mylotting.

I usually just hit the discussions from my interest and that will give me a whole list to choose from...and if i can't really find any of those that will work for me or that i just don't want to reply to i just go to new discussions and find somethign there and then again if i don't find things i like then iw ill go to recent discussions and out of all of those places I m sure that i can find something that will work...

Hello corilat, I always respond to all the discussions that are being notified through my e-mail. Sometimes, when I feel a little bit boring here, I will go and check today's top discussions or new discussions section. I don't have much time to spend here but whenever I do, I try to respond to all the discussions started by my friends.
