Payday Treats...

I love the first of the month. It's payday time and we each get our treats.
First, we always do pizza on payday. Usually Freschetta Four Meat Pizza's, one for Hubby and one for me. His gets onions and peppers and mine gets ham and pineapple and then both get extra cheese. It is sooooo good and we usually both have enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Sometimes I like to make homemade but after a day of shopping I'm usually too tired to do it.
Our other treat is usually a DVD for each of us...2 each if their cheap enough. This time I picked out a 3 pack for Hubby with Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick and XXX, all with Vin Disel in them. I picked 2 for me, Monster House and Wicked Little Things.
I love paydays!! LOL
When I was young my Mom used to buy Popeye's on payday (it's a chicken restaurant for those that don't know). I loved those paydays.
So, what about you? Do you buy little treats when payday rolls around? What's your favorite treats?

We do not do anything really special on paydays. I get paid every week and hubby gets paid every 2 weeks, so we have paydays a lot. Each of his paydays we set aside a money to do things like go out to eat, go to the movies, buy whatever, and we use that over the 2 weeks. We do look forward to his paydays if that money gets depleted before his payday rolls around. We do try to make it stretch though.

My husband and I get paid every week. Or are you talking about money made online?
Anyways, we usually don't get treats each time we get we get paid. We do usually take some of our money each month and go out with our friends. We like to go out for cocktails and dinner. Or once in a while, we have everyone over here for a hot tub party.

Sometimes we treat ourselves on paydays, but my hubby gets paid weekly and its hard to budget! all the bills are due at the end of the month and sometimes we dont have a lot of money left over after everything is paid, like this week i have 30$ to my name after all is said in done.. But i still have to go to the laundry mat to wash all the new baby's clothes that have been in storage and stuff. I would love some popeyes right now, or anything else. i'm starved! Oh wait, i put my food in the oven earlier and cooked it slow, GOD I"M A GENIOUS!

Aw, that sounds so cool.
No, we do not do anything special on paydays.
I normally just deposit the money in the bank when our checks come in and forget about it.
I have no set day to go shopping, when staples get low
I know it is time to do the grocery shopping.
It is actually a chore to me and I don't enjoy it one bit!
There were too many kids and not enough money for treats growing up, so we didn't have many treats then either.
We treat ourselves when the mood hits us and not just on payday.

I generally do our shopping once a month when payday gets here and I'm not real fond of it either. I look forward to the treats all month so it's even more special when it finally gets here.

That is a cool way to start off every month! It gives both of you something to look forward to especially when the month is long and/or hard. We don't do anything like that but it's a good idea that I just might think about adopting.

It's really fun and something that we can look forward to. It runs about $10 for the pizza's, and we each get about $10 for our movies. Sometimes we'll each only get one movie so we average about $5 a movie. We've gotten quite a collection of DVD's doing it this way. I hope you have fun with it too.

we usually do pizza too -- now since eatting better i make my own WW crust and by fresh toppings cost about the same lol
and the kids love making thier own!!
i LOVE pinapple and ham as well!! think im going to make that one this payday coming YUM!!
we'll usually do something for the weekend too - go out if we can see movie or get dvds or OUT OF TOWN shopping!!

I think it's great that you do that. I can't really afford to do that, since I've been unemployed for several months and living off an unemployment check. Though, when I did have my last job, I splurged a little every two weeks when I got paid. It seemed to help make me feel it was worth the effort.

Paydays are twice a month for my hubby and I so we splige twice a month. yayaya. He gets paid on the first and I get my social security check on the second Wednesday of the month. I do love paydays. I do go shopping and usually out of lunch with a friend.

A very long time ago, we did pizza on payday too! 
Now I don't really do anything special. My money is all tied up in bills, so there usually isn't anything extra.
At best, I might treat us by picking out a special dessert when we go grocery shopping.
It was fun though, having that special day. It was something to look forward to.
BTW...I love Vin Diesel. He's gonna marry me some day! lol

At the moment I can't afford to really treat myself on payday, just being able to pay my bills is good, but on occasion when I stop to get gas for my car I pick up a $2 instant ticket, and it is always a treat if I win a little money.

payday is a normal day for me...because i always pay everyday on my business...before when i work i felt very happy during payday because i can received money for me to kept and spend a little for personal needs...but now it's different if you have your own business.

Every week on my days off I go ut to lunch or something, sometimes I order in. but that is usually my treat to myself for all my efforts during the week. I usual do some shopping on that day as well and get all my little goodies and things I need around the house. I like pay day too, I can reward myself.

I also love payday!!! I usually take my kids out for dinner or something special...
Since November my husband has been on unemployment so now that he is working I have to get caught up in bills... but as soon as we are caught up again, we will do the same...
And yes... about once or twice a month I will go in and buy a couple $5 movies for the family!

We don't really do anything special on payday. We usually go grocery shopping, and depending on how much food we still have at home, I might buy some food that we don't normally buy, because we can't normally afford it. I generally only go grocery shopping once a month, and then just send my husband in for thigns like milk, and fresh fruit and veggies in between. So when I'm the one shopping, I try to get at least one or two things that we don't eat that often, like shrimp, or ribeye steaks (my husband's favorite).
We usually eat out about once a week, or every other week. We do it when we are shopping at Walmart, Target, the mall, etc. We live about 45 minutes from there, so it would be hard to get everything done in between meals, since my toddler likes to eat every 3 to 4 hours. We also go to the cafe in town on some Saturday afternoons that we aren't planning a shopping trip for.

Our payday is the day we do our grocery shopping.Occasionally we have to buy some shoes or jeans or other clothes so we have to do it all at once. We usually buy some quick meal to throw in the oven cause we are too tired to fix am real meal. This past friday we picked up some already cooked chicken and macaroni so all we had to do was sit down and eat. Have not really gotten any good treats like dvd's lately tho. Our big tv went out a few months ago and until we can affored to fix it our dvd player is not hooked up. sad!

Oh yes,when I used to get a payday, I used to do the same thing! Nowadays things are different, but when I used to work, I would look forward to payday! When my kids were at home we used to all go out and eat wherever they wanted to!
Then when they grew up and left, I would go out by myself, and order and eat a big ol' steak!
I usually kept a list of the things I needed to go out and buy on payday,this I did once a month!

Yes,we do paydays but,must of the time we choose different
things.This week it was popcorn shrimp,I love them,we have
not had them in a long time,they were good.We did crinkle
fries with them my favorite.Next time who knows what we
will choose,but it will be good.

We used to go to the Mall together and have a dinner together. Each week we would choose a different eatery. Asian one week, Italian another, etc.
My favorite is Subway's Honey Terioki Chicken salad.
When I have pizza, I love double cheese and covered with veggies. I'm getting hungry, take care.
