Do you prefer mild or spicy?

Some people like mild salsa, mild sausage, mild peppers, etc. And some prefer things on the spicier side. Where do you land? Hot or not?

I definately like my food hot and spicy except for some strange reason curry I prefer a Korma with curry. I always have hot salsa as a dip or with fajitas and love hot peppers. My sister-in-law in Thai and although I don't know the names of the dishes they are always really hot and spicy and she is so happy that I enjoy. Ellie :D

Meant to type 'is' Thai not 'in'. My typing errors get worse LOL. Thanks for BR, appreciated. Ellie :D

I have no need to peel the skin from my tongue and lips. A little spicy is nice. I can tolerate more than my wife. However, salsa can be nice without 'heat' at all. There is a Sweet and Sassy salsa that I enjoy and I like the stuff at Chevy's. Neither are hot, so I guess there are flavors of salsa which I enjoy that have nothing to do with spiciness.

I am a *spicy* person. I sprinkle red pepper flakes on just about everything that lands on the table. In fact, the red pepper flakes sits on the table and is used just like the salt and pepper. I love the 'hot and spicy' bulk sausage. It makes awesome sausage gravy.

The hotter the better for me. I always like hot food. I have to be careful though because it gives me bad heartburn anymore. I love chips and salsa too. I can eat mild food because my family likes it that way but if given the chance, it will be nothing but hot for me.

I don't like things that are too mild. I like the middle of the road stuff. I think too much spice takes away from the enjoyment of the food. Too mild make it not as appealing to me.

Depend son the food. If it is cajun food, I like it spicy. Other foods - like Popeye fried chicken - I prefer to be mild.

I like having spicy foods once in a while, for a change of taste that is and not really on a regular basis. For everyday meals I would have to go with the milder alternative, sometimes it's hard to enjoy the food when it is too spicy, you just end up teary-eyed and sniffing.

When I was young, I used to love everything hot. Now it seems like I just don't have the tolerance that I used to. Every once in awhile I eat a hot Italian sausage, but not very often. Someone else will eat the same thing and say its not hot at all, but some spicy foods seem really hot to me.

I like things that are mild. I have never been one to like things that are spicy. I tried a jalapeno once and I will never eat ones of those things again. I do like some chips that have a little bit of a spicy taste to them thought like taco chips but now to spicy.

I prefer medium. I can eat some spicy hot (and chipotle flavor- YUM!!!!) but I just prefer medium where I can enjoy it more...the hot stuff distracts from the flavor and the mild stuff doesn't add quite enough, imo. Now, my husband figures the hotter the better- he would add crushed red pepper to every single dish I made, spicy or not!! Thankfully he doesn't do that anymore...I was always a little offended to be honest- he would say it was good and I would be thinking 'How can you even tell? You covered it with red pepper?!?' Oh well- his dad has always done the same thing (with red pepper or tabasco sauce) so I tried to not take it too personally most of the time.
