losing points again and why

mylotters is this happening to you now?
I clinked on my points two days ago and I was 94 out of a hundred.today I clicked onto my star and I lost three points. I would like to know why. what is going on: I have not made any controversial discussions nor have I slighted anyone in my responses. I feel that I do not deserve this at all. Is this also happening to you? Are there some mylotters who just get their kicks out of hitting the negative button? This is beginning to make me feel really angry.

Points and ratings go up and down like a yoyo here, don't worry about it, it happens to us all at some point.

don't let it get to you Hatley..seriously..Just enjoy yourself here and continue to make quality posts and start quality threads...sadly there ARE trolls just like in any public forum which is why IMO we shouldnt worry too much about the star rating..

One of our Friends has gone from a 10 to a 7 they didn't even give her the 8 and 9
It is making me mad this but please Sweetie I don't care about your Number I care about you as a Person do not let this drive you away your Friends care about you not that silly Number that we have over our Name

Honey, I don't know what happened. Yesterday my star was 97/100, as it had been for over a month. This morning my star was 94/100. I have no idea how that happened. Mylot has assured us all one person cannot bring someone's star down, but I don't know. I too have not ticked anyone off. No one has left anything hateful for me to read. I encourage you to contact mylot and ask them. I think there has to be a glitch.

Hatley, I didn't want to say anything, but I feared this discussion would bring your star down more. Other people have commented on their star ratings, and as a result of their discussion about talking of it, their star goes down even more. However, I cannot figure what made both our stars go down in the first place. I too have contacted mylot, to no avail. It is really confusing because I know our discussions have always been harmless. It is discouraging, but then I think of my life away from the internet, and it puts it into perspective for me. A troublemaker on the internet does nothing to ruin my day. I have family and friends who love me and would do anything for me, let us rejoice in our star. Maybe I'll get down to the pink six. I dolook best in pink.

ambie pam I think I am being penalized for this discussion as I went down from 9 to 8 and now today its 7. I would quit but I don't want whoever is doing this to have the satisfaction when UI saw this7his morning I wanted to cry and was also angry but I am not going to be forced out. I did contact Mylot but of course they did not answer.

Dont be angry. At least Mylot pays us for our effort and involvement. Other networking programs (dont let me name some) do not thou their making Millions of $$$$. Yuwie is another good one that pays but i feel MyLot has the best discussion platform than the rest of em.
I am also new to this (thou i joined 10 mths ago) after my AWOL for that period of time. But i am beginning to like mylot format of free discussing.
If you can answer me i appreciate it.
Members earning stats are upgraded every 24 hours right ? When is it basing on New York time. Just asking a fellow mylotter.

I haven't had this problem quite yet as i have only been on mylot for like 4 days but i would say 3 points isn't a whole lot to get angry over i dont even know if i have a single one lol i dont even know at what point you get the little star above your name.

Well i dont think you should not worry for this. Your points will affect your earnings in a little way. Read the mylot guidelines carefully and then post or reply to the discussions. I think this will help you to earn points and money as well.

I don't think that the points matter as much as are you enjoying yourself here on mylot. That is what is most important to me. I think that a lot of people just like to hit the negative button so that they can look better. I also do not think that the score will affect your earnings as much as your discussions and responses that you give to other peoples discussions.

Yes. It has happened to me too. My points and earnings go up and down here at Mylot, especially when Mylot is getting ready to make the payouts. I think they are adjucting the posts that may have got deleted. There used to be someone going around Mylot and rating people negative without even responding to discussions or being active. My rating goes up and down too but I have no clue who is doing it to me. I hope Mylot will come up with something better for our ratings because it just isn't fair to alot of members who do not deserve low ratings.

This is because of mylot deleting some discussions against their rules. So we are losing some points. I also lost 3 points today. And it is first time it happend to me.
So don't worry this is a regular thing when theyw ill delete some discusstions then you will lost some points if you have also responded in this discussion.

This discussion is referring to reputation percentage not accumulated points. The star reputation has nothing to do with deleted discussion

don't worry! I'm going to rate u up again! Don't look so much at your points! It doesn't say so much! Some guys just rate down so they can be first one on the rate list (don't even know if there is one) I don't look so often at my points and i don't even care if its rated down. I'm just giving my opinion at things and if people don't like at that is their problem. So going to rate you up! happy? =D?

I agree with your your response. Some people look at their numbers so much it borders on obsession. I dont care what my numbers say I just enjoy myself and I never pay any attention to what someone else's number/points say

No matter how many times you post or respond to a discussion on this topic nothing will change. I have not looked at my star percentage in almost a year because I dont care what it says. I know I have responded to your other discussions on this subject and have already said that nothing you do will change it or even find out what is causing this fluctuation. MyLot admin will not give you any information. So I suggest you just ignore it, enjoy yourself and your earnings.

Hatley, I would not even worry about it. Mine will move to 93 one day and fall back to 92 or 91. I don't even really have to upset anyone, or at least in my eyes. I will however speak how I feel so if that makes me unpopular at times so be it. This star next to my name is not indicative of who I am, how intelligent I am or how important my views of things are. Just as I know they are not of you. In fact you should be a 120/100 my friend.

As you know Hatley, I have posted several discussions about this recently and at first I was ticked too, but it didn't stop me from earning so now I just laugh about it. Tomorrow my star will probably be yet another color. I lost another 5 points today and am sure I'll lose more by this time tomorrow, now it just gives me something to look forward to looking at.

I do not know why this is happening, I am seeing a lot of this and I know that some people are getting really fed up of it. I try to do my bit by hitting the plus for everyone but it does not seem to do much. I wish they would just do away with it altogether.

It's sad. This has been happening to some of my friends. KBourgerie, subha, and myself and to other mylotters as well. And now, you're experiencing the same. I was laughing when I saw my star today. For several weeks, it's been 9 then the other day, it turned 8 and now, it's 5. Anyway, it's my favorite number so I tell myself, "Go ahead, post as usual." I don't care what happens to that star. I'm used to it. It doesn't change anything. It won't corrupt our judgment, neither will affect our earnings that much.

As far as I'm aware of, this has not happened to me...I wonder why this has happened to you. Hope that admin would explain why is this happening. I have read somewhere in this site also, that same thing has happened to him.
