A special friend on mylot

I want to tell you all about a very nice lady I met her on mylot. I am sure alot of you will recognize her name. She did something really nice and special and I just wanted to tell all of you about it. This is a lady I have never met in person, we do talk on the phone, email each other, last year we even exchanged some flower seeds from our gardens. Her name is Marcia Scott, her friends call her Marcie. I am honored to call her Marcie. On to what she did. I just recieved a check for my new granddaughter. With a note on it to give the "sweet baby" a kiss. I thought that was so nice and so special for Marcie to do. She didn't have to do that and she did. This is not a lady who has lots of money neither, she is like (I think) most of us here, struggling to make ends meet. Thanks for reading this, I just wanted to thank Marcie, and I wanted all to see how special she is.12 people like this

Aw, that is soooooo sweet of her to do! Marcie is a wonderful lady, and that was just such a thoughtful and special thing to do :-) She always is thinking of others and makes our days bright in so many ways. I think that's really great when we make nice friendships from here, it makes life a whole lot sweeter.

I have spoken to her on the phone and she really is a nice and caring person. I remember when I first joined Mylot, she was here. Then she said she was leaving, but she came back. She had changed her avatar so I no longer recognized who she was.
Now she has changed it back to the one that I remember. It is nice to have friends like you and her and there are a few others also.

Yes Marcie is a nice and caring person. She and I met very soon after joining mylot. We both joined around the same time too. I just know that we would be friends offline too if we lived close to each other. I met you thru one of her discussions. It was when she was doing an experiement (you know she liked doing them, hehe). She wanted to keep the discussion going and all 3 of us was on at the same time. Marcie and I were bouncing around all over and poor you, were getting confused with our craziness. I had fun that night, you are one of my favorite mylot friends too. I was telling Lori in the first response that I would love it, if Marcie and I could come out to Cal. together and meet you and Lori. You both live out in the LA area and Marcie and I know other people out that way. Someday hopefully.

Hahahahaha, I remember that experiment also. That was a whole lot of fun. But I did have a hard time keeping up. It would be nice if we could all get together out here. There are a million things to do. You have to be filthy rich for some of it though,LOL.

What a nice gesture. A big hugger to her. I have had the pleasure of connecting with one of our MyLot friends. Kitchenwitchoftupper. Haven't seen her around in a while. I hope she is doing well.

It was a really nice thing that Marcie did. Thats why I made this post, I wanted her to know what it ment to me. As for our buddy kitchen witch, she has been at her daughters for awhile, I imagine she still must be there. I miss her and also hope things are ok with her.

Yes I know Marcia. She is on my friends list on here. That was very nice of her to do that for your granddaughter. I wish there were more nice people in the world like her. :)

Hi Polly...I am back! I have missed chatting with you and other special friends here and after catching up on older responses I am making a point of dropping by valued friends' sites to say hello!
When I saw this discussion and read it I was uplifted. It is good to know that the good you send towards others is coming back to you. Also I respect your 'attitude of gratitude' and acknowledgment of your friend's thoughtfulness. So many people are forgetting to say offer a sincere 'thank you' for random acts of kindness like Marcie's.
So I just wanted to drop by and applaud you...and her. Sounds like you are like-minded gal-pals and I am pleased that you are both great examples of the...what goes around...comes around belief that I subscribe to.
David and I have been busy with work and personal commitments but I have some breathing space for awhile and plan to be here more. You have crossed my mind since I've been away because I respect you and the connection we have established.
All the best to you and your loved ones...especially your new grand-baby!

Hi Raia...welcome back, you have been missed. You really are such a sweet lady too. I have often thought of you too. I haven't been on mylot that much lately neither. Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods. It was in the 80's today, so I have been outside enjoying Spring when I can. A few weeks ago everyone in the household, (myself, son, daughter in law, 3yr. old grandson, and new baby granddaughter) were all sick. The baby was in the hospital for 5 days, all is well now and things are back to normal.
Thanks for your kind words, I believe in telling our friends how they touch our lives and hearts. I have been so blessed to have met so many terrific people here. Take care. Many blessings to you and to David too.
