If you were going on a trip, and lets say it is 1000+ miles. It doesnt matter where you are going, but how would you get there? Land, Sea, Air, or Rail?

i would prefer to travel by the air, its faster so i can easily get to my destination and enjoy. traveling by sea sounds exciting too, yet i haven't tried it yet.

Air travel is definitely faster, but I would like to travel by train, just take my time and see the country.

My favorite form of transportation is train. I like to look out of the window and see the scenery and sleep in a comfortable compartment during the night time. So I would do most of my trip by train. However I would have to fly to some destinations and get on a bus if no train is available. Flying is a fast way to travel and I like it when I see the view over the landscape below. It is not so interesting to see just puffy white clouds. I think buses are nice to travel to by day when I can see out of the window. However at nighttime it can be uncomfortable to sleep sitting up all night in a bus seat with little legroom. It is relaxing to travel by sea in calm weather so I might take a ferry for a short distance during my trip.

It can be very difficult to sleep on a bus, and I can promise you that the people around me will never get tired enough to sleep or quit talking...lol

I would prefer to travel by rail if it was overland or by sea if it was overseas. I would not want to travel that distance by road, and I would much rather go by sea or rail than to fly. I enjoy train journeys and I like sailing. I don't like being in traffic or in the air.

I can see how that would be a determining factor.

In India, though roads are increasing becoming qualitative, I personally feel that I shuld take a train to enjoy 1000 run. I do not prefer plane because the journey is over in less than an hour.

I have had several comments from those that either want to take a train or have taken a train. I myself have never ridden on a train, but I do hope to someday.

I would probably take the train. I couldn't afford to go by car.

I guess that for me, it would depend on the distance I was going.

I prefer air....but if I had enough time I would love to go by rail sometimes. I have never gotten to ride a train and I would love to be able to watch the countryside go by will just relaxing as we traveled along our way!

Like you, I have never ridden a train, but I would like to. Not to go anywhere though, just to ride and see the country.

If I have the time, and if there is good train service there, weather conditions permitting, I would take the train. That would give the chance to see the country, a glimpse of the cities and towns along the route.

I have heard many say pretty much that same thing, and I myself would like to take a train someday as I have never ridden one before.

Gas is too expensive. Too many miles to swim if the boat sinks. Rail I guess is ok you dont hear of thos accident everyday. But I found out the other day that in a yr. I can go anywhere for 40 dollars. B mama is a flight attendant. So Idk. i guess i would probably choose the cheapest at the time. How would you get there?

My extended family live just over 1,000 miles away so I have driven and flown back home. I used to prefer flying hands down but now the airports are so unpredictable and, while I agree that we need the extra security, the process is a pain in the butt. I've traveled by train so I think I'd rather take a train these days.l
