I've been very busy lately that I haven't had the time to read books. The last book I remember reading was David Allen's "Getting Things Done" which I haven't even finished until now. So obviously I'm not getting things done (lol!). But I plan to finish the book over the weekend and hopefully start a new one. I'm interested to know if other people here in myLot read books and what kind of books most people here in myLot reads. Friend, when was the last time you've read a book and what is the title of the latest book you've read? Would you recommend it to others?

Hmm..lets see, I was reading "Buddha in my Backpack"..I forget the author lol. I'm re-reading the last Harry Potter book now though, 'cause I have to return it in five days and I want it to stick in my memory this time so I won't have to borrow it again lol.

The last new book I read was "Black Sun" by James Twinning. It was very good and really kept you going all the way to the end. If you like mysteries and following clues this is an excellent book to read. The last one before that was the last in the Harry Potter series. It too was very good. I also read recently "Mary, Mary" by James Patterson. This was a murder mystery with his character Alex Cross. Another one that kept you going right to the end. I like those types.

You're quite welcome. I hope if you do read them that you enjoy them. Not sure if you are into movies but two of James Paterson's books about Alex Cross were made into movies, "Kiss The Girls" and "Along Came A Spider". They were very well done in my opinion.

I am reading Amartya Sen's book Development as Freedom. It is a nice book that is so relevent in our times. Amartya Sen is a Noble laureate in Economics and therefore what he says deserves our hearing. I would recomment the book to others too.

I am not able to get muc of time to read these days. A couple of month back, I read a book named Like the Flowing River by Paulo Coelho. This book is collection of stort stories and some experinces that he had. It even includes his some articles. In this book writer doesnot try to give you any advice or what so ever but leaves entirely upto the reader what they have to take it from it. i liked this book very much.

For most people, history is a boring subject but not for me. I believe that there's more to chronicles and accounts of war. It's always interesting to read about the story of significant historical figures. And I admire the people who knows how to appreciate the history. Thanks for the response!

I have a lot of time to read books after classes. But I am a lazy person. I waste much time in sleeping and w atching TV. We have literatural classes. And our teacher commend us to read some classics. I have know many names of books. But I have not read them or just read the extracts. Tonight I read a collection of novelets. They are written by college students. I consider the theme of them are a little bit obscure. I commend you to read what you are interested because I think reading is a progress of atainning joy. Everyone likes different books. What you want to read depends on youself.

The latest book that I had read named " Seven Years in Tibet" by Heinrich Harrer. This book dealt with the political environment when Tibet was under Dalai Lama(14th Karmapa),before he takes asylum to India. This books also describes about the author, and about the unnatural scenic beauty of the Himalayas. This book, in my view, is the greatest protest against all the lies of Chinese propaganda in this Tibet issue.

The last book I read was almost 5 months ago. It was "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom. It was alright. It has the same sentimentality as with his other books, though I felt it didn't tug at my heartstrings as his first two books did. I would still recomment this book. It's still a good read.

I just finished a book last night that was quite a good read. It's called "Blood Brothers" by Nora Roberts. It's intended for mature audiences and quite creepy, but I enjoyed it very much. After I finished that one last night, I started another one. "Genuine Lies" by Nora Roberts. I really like Nora Roberts so far from the books that I have read. Other than these two, I first read "Blue Smoke" by Nora Roberts and that was a VERY good book! She has enough books under her belt that she should keep me pretty busy when it comes to reading!

The last book i finished was Ariel by Sylvia Plath, and i'm in the middle of reading The Good Terrorist by Doris Lessing. I found the Plath book a bit depressing, but I'm really enjoying The Good terrorist, even though it's a bit of a slow read.

Anyways, I think the last paperback novel I read was really actually last year December and the book was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I remembr I finished it in 2 days.
