An Amazing Set Of Pipes...

A while back I came across a video in Yahoo news that was astounding. It was of a Russian male singer with a voice that is out of this world. I saved the link and recently when I thought of it, the whole page was gone. Well, thanks to Youtube, I’ve found it again. I don’t know the man’s name or what he is singing about but there is a section where he hits an incredibly high note. It is so high that when I first heard it I thought it was some type of instrument…it isn’t…it’s his voice. One of the comments made of the video was that he might have had throat surgery b/c he’s wearing a scarf in the video. However, it was pointed out that ppl that sing very high notes may wear scarves in order to keep the muscles and such warm and workable…especially for such long high notes. Also the consistency of his notes are too accurate to be surgically enhanced. I think his voice is amazing and I’d love to hear him in real life. http://youtube.com/watch?v=QR7TOwrb6wo What did you think of the video? Did the note and length of it surprise you? Have you ever known anyone that could hit really high notes like that? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

That is something. I am macedonian we speek slavic same as the russans we dont speek the same language but they have the same beginings so we have similar words. As we are both Orthodox Christians we also share similar culture so the way this person sings could be found all over Europe. I have heard some amaizing voices in my life I have cried few times by how good someone sings its almost unhuman. I used to sing at school for some 9 years and I had an ok voice but that was before I started smoking. I still sing but its not as good as before and I cant hold high notes for more that few seconds but hey what a suprise what was I thinking when I started I have no idea but now I know better. By the way in all the other songs from him he does not wear a scarf so the theory about surgery does not hold water. And If it was that easy we would all go have one done and go sing and ear millions. And if he did I am sure they wont cut from ear to ear so he has to cover it with a scarf. By the way I see that you dont care about the words so you can check the late "Tose Proeski" on you tube (a very sad story) I will open a discussion on him now.

I didn't think it had anything to do with surgery...that was someones video comment. I'd love to know the words...I just said I didn't know who the singer was or what the words are...if you do by all means let us know. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

This is what happens when I want to say a lot but I also want to be short so you dont fall on me. I didnt say that you said I said the theory (what I should have said was the theory on you tube) which is stupid because right next to the bigish screen with the poor guy killing him self singing the beutiful song there are few other pictures of other of his songs and in none of them is he wearing a scarf. As for the words again I was trying to save sace. I meant to say that you look like aperson that cares more than just for the words as here you are listening to a russian song and you dont understand it but you value the music and the musical abilities of the singer. Some people will not listen music in language other then the one they know. Thats why I said it I ment nothing bad by it and if that is how you took it I am very sorry but that was not my intention at all.

Thanks for clarifying it...yesterday I posted a discussion about a Mandarin song called Fairytale by Tong Hua and although I don't speak mandarin I did find a video with english subtitles so that I at least know the words. The melody to the song is so beautiful that I find myself listening to it and have even learned a few words of mandarin in the process. I think that although the words are definately important the melody of the music is just as important. I don't mind, and actually like, listening to all kinds of music regardless if I know the words. BTW, is the name of the Russian singer Tose Proeski? I've never known his name and in fact found it on Youtube by typing in "high pitched russian singer" LOL **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

hi twoey68! thats sooo coool! I've not been able to access youtube(firewall probs) to see it but it's reminded me of a female tibetan singer who can sing in two octaves at the same time! im trying to find it, I saw her on a uk show called 'Later with Jools Holland' in 03, the song itself is a Tibetan prayer.

That is unbelievable, I can't imagine a male hitting that high of a note! I am truly envious, I am a baritone, and I can only sing "Johnny Cash" songs!
