I wasnt on here so I dont know how everyones Mothers day went. My mom is no longer with me and I miss her very very much. She died way too young. She was only 57. And I have many of good memories of her. We were always together. I spent my Mothers day over my Aunts then I had to get home early to be in the hospital at 5:00 Monday morning. I had a nice Mothers Day how about you?

Hi Terry...Thanks for asking. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I had some friends and my brother over and we played a few board games. My hubby and my son cooked and cleaned the kitchen. I also recieved a dozen roses from my hubby and a teddy bear from my son. I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day too!

My son loves to play Monopoly, but we didn't play it this time. We played Mille Bornes, Zobmondo and Life.

Yes Terry, I had a lovely Mother's Day! We were invited to our friends' house to share Mother's Day with them, and our husbands cooked us the most delicious breakfast, served with a glass or two of bubbly! They really went to town with the food, and presented it beautifully. They cleared away afterwards, and left the kitchen clean as a whistle! My children all contacted me (the boys tend to forget sometimes), but they all did this year. I got a beautiful card from our daughter who lives in Florida (we live in Australia); she said some very meaningful words to me - things a mother always loves to hear. My mother lives in the UK but they celebrate their Mother's Day on a different day of the year, so I had already sent her a card and phoned her on that day. She was overwhelmed and wouldn't stop crying! She lives in an Old Peoples Home. I wish I could have been there to give her a hug, but other than that, it was a perfect day.

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Debbie went to Minnies house to celebrate it. She had a BBQ with hot dogs and hanburgers. Potato salad, macaroni tuna sald, jello, and other snacks as well. We went to a local nursery there and bought Minnie some tomato plants as well. The grandsons and Minnie got Debbie a basket with bath stuff and candles etc. A fun time there all day long. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My Mother's day was quiet, just the way I like it. Hubby took our daughter out and about for the day so it was just me and my furbabies. I had planned on going to visit my mom for a few hours but it was so windy that day, my car was all over the road while I was working so I stayed home. I'm going up there in a lil while to see her today and give her her b-day and Mother's day gift.

My mom also passed away at a young age, she was 39. She has been gone for 8 years now. It's not any easier year after year. Anyway, this was my 2nd mom's day as a mom and it was the best mother's day so far. My boyfriend let me take a nap and he watched my son. While, I was sleeping he secretly cooked a meatloaf supper, had went shopping and made 2 pies. I only slept for like 2 hours! On top of that he did the dishes. LOL! I was really happy, it was a good day. It was nice that he really tried hard to make the day special, and tried to surprise me at the same time. He did a good job.

Yes I did have a very nice Mother's Day. Had dinner with two of our daughter's who live in the area and received a call from the youngest who lives out of state. Got 3 beautiful cards and nice gifts but my best gift was being able to spend time with our girls. I also lost my mother about 4 years ago but she was old and sick. I do miss her but don't get the chance to visit her grave often since she is buried in another state.

My mother and I do not live in the same ciy, so we celebrated a few days beore Mother's Day when she had a chance to come to my hometown. We had coffee together at The Second Cup, and I gave her some stuff I'd brought home from my recent trip to Arizona.

I darn near lost my mother three times during the two weeks around mothers day so to have her here with me is an absolute joy! So I spent a few hours with her at the hospital. She's now at a rehabilitation hospital and today when I saw her, she was all smiles and seemingly doing so much better!

I don't live anywhere near my mom now. I have recently moved to another province. But I did phone her and wished her a happy mother's day. My duaghter and I live together now so we were able to spend the day together. We went for a drive to Lake Louise, up in the mountains. We had a late lunch there and then walked around the lake and then drove back home. It was very nice and I enjoyed the time with my daughter. My son didn't even phone me, but I didn't expect he would. He is 33 years old and just doesn't think of those things. And that's okay because I know he loves me and it just isn't in his nature to think about calling me. He does on my birthday though.

Unfortunately my husband was bed bound with a terrible back ache, so I did mylot on Mother's Day.. That is ok though, like you, I lost my Mother when she was young too, 49 and I was 13 and that year I had been working on this wooden giraffe in wood shop for my Mother on Mother's Day. So it really isn't one of my favorite holidays..

Didn't get to respond to this one but I'll still talk about it Terry. I went back home for a bit and helped out Mom (and by proxy Dad) with a few chores around the house. Also went to a dinner event with family to celebrate the mothers. At the end, I treated Mom (and again by proxy Dad) to a casino night. You'd think I'd have both Mother's and Father's Day gifting covered with all of that, but I think I'll repeat it again for that day too along with some other gift to give my dad.
