Who has the magic recipe for re-heating your food. Microwaving for me doesn't seem to bring out the best flavor. How do you he-heat your restaurant leftovers?

Well, I do sometimes use the microwave for reheating. There are also times when I melt butter or margarine on a pan, put the food in it. After that, I wait a while until the food is warm enough. When it is warm enough, I put some herbs like basil, rosemary or tarragon. It will definitely taste better.

I think that restaurant food is just not as fresh when you store and reheat it. Kind of like leftovers from home-cooked meals. I don't know any magic way to bring back the just cooked flavor. I used to order my steak a little extra rare at the restaurant and then I could reheat it at home without overcooking it.

Well, I usually use my microwave to reheat leftover or food from the doggie bags. Nothing is going to taste as good several hours later or the next day no matter how it is fixed. Do you use the reheat button on your microwave assuming yours has one? If not it is best to reheat at medium power then high so power number 4 or 5 would be best to reheat with. Because using anything higher to reheat would just be cooking the food further and it seems to just not turn out or taste as good. So for best flavor use your power button on microwave and use a 4 or 5 to reheat if you don't have a reheat button or even if you do. Good luck hope that it helps.

It all depends on what I am reheating as to how I reheat it. I heat some of my stuff in the microwave and some of it on the stove. I also heat some of my food in the oven also to get the best flavor to come back out of it and the texture. I hate some food reheated because it just does not taste right at all anymore after reheating.

I normally just heat mine up in the microwave. It does a decent job on some things. Other things I think would taste so much better if I took the time to heat it back up in the oven.

In a fry pan over medium heat. My parents have a toaster oven and those things heat leftovers up almost better than freshly made!! French fries even!! And pizza, too. Perfect! I am definitely getting one myself.

I use the range oven to warm up my left overs from a restuarant. I especially love to do this with the fried foods (onion rings--yum). Just make sure that you spray the pan first or it will stick.
