Tonight I Sleep Alone In My Own Bed!

Sparks Bed - Yep - it's a pillow top mattress in more ways than one!
Are you jealous? You should be!!!!

Get off your butts and do the happy dance for me folks! We got the RV back. I spent most of the day cleaning and outfitting it for habitation by the soon to be ex. A few hours ago, after a whirlwind trip to the city for food and other necessities, the soon to be ex quietly walked out the front door of the house with a flash light, crossed the road, walked into the lilacs, cursed, dropped the flashlight, banged his noggin on the side of the RV as he exited the bushes and yelled, 'You put the damn thing here on purpose! It's impossible to get to the door!' To which I calmly replied, "Ummmm - Jack drove it in remember? I rather thought he made a neat job of it. But you can move it in the morning" To which he replied "........" Well what he said is not printable. LOL So tonight I sleep alone in my OWN bed! No more being locked out of my bedroom, no more commando wear, no more falling off couches and waking up on the floor. No more making morning coffee the night before if I don't want to. No more creeping around like a thief in the night so I don't disturb HIM. No more of a lot of things! Tomorrow we will work out just how accessible the house will be to him; just how free he'll be to wander in and out at will. I have my house. Now I want my life. I'm such a selfish b*tch. LOL Good night.

That is fantastic news spark honey - I hope you thoroughly enjoy your nights sleep in peace and comfort! I wish I had seen him stumbling around and trying to get in the rv! You are in no way selfish honey and the only time you are a b1tch is when someone deserves it! lol xxx

Sparks, it's during this time you're ALLOWED to be a b1tch! So how did you sleep--like a baby? I remember that (though we weren't even sleeping together by then)...NO MORE SNORING! NO MORE SLEEPING ON THE EDGE TO NOT TOUCH! NO MORE SWEATING BECAUSE I SHARED THE BED WITH A 300-LB. A$$HOLE! Oh my God it felt good! But now 4 1/2 years later, I've gotten a bit lonely (NOT FOR HIM!). As for your ex, only let him in during day light hours when you're there...gotta protect what's yours girl!

Awesome girl! You SOOOOOO deserve that roomy bed and peace of mind! I've been single too long (you're single til you get the ring or a partner to share the bed with IMHO!)...I need some company! (dad doesn't get why I need my queen size bed...he thinks I should go back to a single--I can't!)

Good lord - go back to a single? NEVER!!! Damn it was hard enough getting used to my roomy couch until I got my bed back! LOL At least the soon to be ex has full size bed in the RV, so he lucked out really! LOL

It's been a couple of nights now scorpio and I still wake up smiling! LOL And no he's NEVER allowed in after 9pm. We worked that out thank God. And he's not allowed in before 9am either! It is SUCH a treat to get up, have my coffee in my robe and start the day with the breath of freedom in my lungs instead of tension. I even let my dog sleep on the bed now! She is really polite about it, but just having her close helps keep away the 'empty' feeling of the house.

This would seem so odd to me...splitting up with someone and still having them around. Whenever I've split up with someone I've wanted to get as far away as possible from them. My ex b/f was a fanatic for mashed potatoes...he had to have them EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!! For 9 years I made those stupid potatoes for him. After we split up I was so thrilled not to have to make them anymore. I make them once in awhile now but for a long time I couldn't stand the thought of making them. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well I need to keep my residence in the house until it's sold twoey and in a small town of only 75 people there is only so far the soon to be ex can go as his new business is here. We have done the best we can in the circumstances. It would have been so much worse if we didn't have the RV!

Well, Sparky my love, by now you will have already had your first night's sleep back snug in your own bed and will be looking forward to the next one. I'm very happy for you, and that's putting it quite mildly. And I love it that he bonked his head too, ha! Serves him right. You're doing great. You're getting there, step by step. And every step you make is a positive motion forward. All of us are impatient for you and we want you to get everything you want right now, so it's easy to be frustrated with how slow this process appears to be, but speaking for myself, I can see that you're doing what you have to do, what you need to do, in the time frame in which you need to do it and none of us can tell you any different or ask you to do it faster or differently. Do it your way - yeah, like you wouldn't. Selfish b!tch huh? Nope, not near selfish enough. But you're getting there, darlin. Keep it up. You rock. And I love you.

You are right on all counts nova. I have to do it my way, in my own time, or I am just giving away my power again and that is NOT acceptable. I was talking to my eldest today - he's going 'home' soon, and we have agreed that if push comes to shove I can always go to him to get away and be safe and not pressured. Such a comfort to know that. I love you too and you rock better than I do! LOL

Nothing like your own bed. What you may want to do though is to give it a good thwacking. Lift it up on it's side and bash the heck out of it. It will get rid of more of him. Seriously! Then give it a vacuum. Make sure the windows are open. Put fresh sheets on the bed after that. Pity he wasn't further away than the front garden - yikes what a pain!

I used a bed thwacker! LOL Fresh sheets, a spray of my favorite cologne and the new pillows I'd bought some time ago for the spare room! It was heaven to roll over and not find myself on the floor! ROFL I slept in very late this morning and though there was no coffee made when I got up, it was so nice to be able to just put on my robe and wander around the house without that heavy tension in the air! It's going to be a good day! LOL

I was hoplessly drawn to your discussion, spark, out of curiosity, I think. Not being privy to all that led up to your blissful state of mind, I assume that you have put an end to a relationship. I think you have a great attitude, but having been there myself, I know that it is not a bed of roses. Good luck with your future!

Hello worldwise. Yes I have ended my marriage. It was a long time coming and it took some work getting my personal power back so that I could do without killing him! LOL Now it's all over except the paperwork and the fat lady singing. I expect that there will still be hurdles as divorce terms are negotiated and renegotiated, but at least I have my own bed to sleep in at the end of the day! That's a HUGE victory. LOL

Congratulations Spark! Yay for you! So, how did it feel to sleep in your own bed by yourself? I bet you either got the best sleep you have had in a long time, or you were so thrilled to be sleeping in your own bed alone that you struggled to fall asleep as your mind raced with the desire to keep on doing the happy dance! LOL! I lost about 2 lbs doing the happy dance with such gusto! Lol! Congratulations!

Hello gorgeous! I actually got to READ IN BED for a change! One of my favorite ways to fall asleep. Once I was, I slept long and deep and woke up a little disoriented, but feeling like a million dollars. It is such a bonus to be able to just luxuriate, stretch and take time to work out the kinks before getting up! I can hardly wait to go BACK to bed! LOL So you lost 2 lbs. doing the happy dance huh? See - in other's misfortunes are silver linings! ROFL

Hey Spark! I am glad to hear you enjoyed your first night in your bed alone! I love to read before bed too. It relaxes me. And, now I feel a little bad for doing the happy dance for you as this is a misfortune for you. I'm sorry! I guess, while I am sad for you that your relationship didn't work out for you, I get lost in the fact that you actually seem sort of empowered by the ending. On the lighter side, I bet you can't wait to do the whole reading and falling asleep, to wake up and be able to stretch out and luxuriate again!

Congrats Sparks!! You are bringing back some very fond memories for me.....that feeling of hope for the future and an excitement. I thought of the camper deal...only it would have been me & the kids in the camper with bathroom privileges. None of my friends would lend me their camper for they thought it was a bad plan. I was desperate. It was better than being under the same roof. Anyway...I just up and moved out one nite and in with my mom (poor mom) in her little one bedroom place. It was tough and I appreciated her so. Good luck. I hope this works for you. I worry about you. I've been in this spot and well... You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Before the soon to be ex and I bought our 28foot RV - the one he's now living in - and yes it has a four piece bathroom! lol, we owned a very small holiday trailer that you could barely turn around in. It slept four if you put the table down and put cushions on it, and it was good enough to park by a lake and fish from but not much else. A little over a year ago, a friend of my soon to be ex's - actually one of HIS ex's, got evicted with her husband and his three kids. They had no money or anywhere to go and asked if they could have our old holiday trailer. All five of them lived in that trailer for an entire winter and summer until it literally fell apart (it was very very old and in terrible shape) on them. I have no idea what happened to them all. We never did hear. But I have no guilt at all about hubs now living in our RV. It's like an apartment on wheels with all the bells and whistles, so he's nothing to complain about really. It's got a great bed, but boy oh boy I'm sure enjoying having my own bed again! LOL

I'm so sorry your marriage broke up, I don't know the details but it's always sad. On the other hand, I know exactly how your feel!! When my husband left us, all I could think of that night was how nice it was to be in bed all by myself with nobody farting and belching all night and groping me like a piece of meat. You enjoy yourself now. Life should be happy, not a constant battle! I've been on my own for 2 years now and I absolutely love it. I'll never have another man take over my life and dictate how I live!

So now the soon to be ex can get out of your hair and sleep in the RV good deal. You will have the house back. no you arent selfish you have it coming to you after what you have put up with. going to hide a hive of bees in his rv to move things along' faster? lol good luck and God bless.

Hatley! You wickedly wonderful lady you! lol A hive of bees - what a great idea! There's a new nest being started on our property next door under the eaves of the abaondoned house that's due to be taken down soon - so I'll just quietly have the fireman move that nest to the storage under the bed in the RV - that'll keep the soon to be ex buzzing for awhile! The end of trying to be part of something that is gone. The end of a lot of things... And the beginning of so much more! Good luck. I hope you will find all you want to find. Be selfish. You should be happy.
