Everyone loves chocolate. And now that many doctor's have spread the news about how dark chocolate can provide antioxidants for your body it has almost made it okay to eat that whole candy bar without thinking twice. When I was a kid I had to have chocolate at least once a day. Even though my mom was a brittle diabetic she did not stop us from endulging in this (then) forbidden pleasure. Thinking back my mouth is getting a little thirsty just thinking about it. But I have noticed the older I get the more I do not desire that delicious confectionary any more. Don't get me wrong every once in awhile I crave it and I dare anyone to step between me and the snack machine....and especially stay away it the thing gets stuck.... Anyways, I was just wondering.....How much do you love chocolate? And why?

I am a diabetic and in good control. I love dark chocolate as it has a lot of antioxidants that the milk chocolate does not plus it is not sickeninly 'sweeteither. I can eat several pieces at a timeand' it does not raise my blood sugar whereas milk chocolate will as its much sweeter.I do not eat candy bars however as they are much too sweet and shoot my blood glucose out of range. no sense being stupid about candy.

I love chocolate but just ocassionally. I am not one that has to have it all the time but do get a craving once in a while. When you are away from it for a while you suddenly realize when you eat it how rich it really is.....but a candy bar once in a great while is delightful!
