The divorce is final

Well, it is a sad thing that being divorced should make one happy. I'm glad your mother is through whatever troubling time she had with her husband. I hope she stays happy.

Was it from your father? If so that cold not have been easy news for you to hear and I am sorry you had to. It is not easy when parents go their separate ways. Makes get togethers very stressful or one or the other doesn't attend.My mom is forever telling me that she would like a divorce from my step-father and if she didn't have my little sister to think about she be gone already. She hasn't been happy that I know if for atleast the last 10 years or longer. But she tolerates him. They haven't really shared a bedroom in 10 years. I feel that my mom will be happy if she ever got a divorce, alot happier then now. But I think she will miss the companionship of having another adult around maybe it would sink in after a few weeks. Well, I wish your mom all the best at starting her life over and hope that she will be happier then she has been. it would be a good time to have a mother/daughters night out with her.

I am so glad and happy for your mom. I know that a divorce sure can take its toll on a person. I have a family member who had gone through that recently and it was very stressful because they truly did not want the divorce anyway. I am happy for your mom though that she is happy and can move on with her life now.

Well, she reminds me of myself. I too was happy to be free. It is a great feeling. The birds sound more cheerful. The sun seems brighter. The world seems to be all yours once again. Oh, I only wish my parents would get a divorce. It has been my dream since childhood. I doubt it will ever happen, but one can dream. Congrats to your mom on the divorce. Hopefully she can start to be happy again without your dad around to bring her down.

My mom and dad too just recently divorced. My mom is a lot more bitter now but my dad is happy. And I'm really glad he is. Sometimes it really is for the best that marriages end. You can find your true self in the mean time. I am glad that your mother is happy. :D
