How are you dealing with the heat?

I thought that it was actually decent outside today, not too hot anyways. When I went into the grocery store, I felt my arms burning and I when I looked they were beat red from being outside today. I thought it was crazy because it didn't seem too hot, I actually thought it was cloudy today! How are you dealing with the heat? We went and bought a pool just to keep cool with because I think we're in for a hot summer!

I have been dealing with the heat by staying side as much as possible. I have the air turned on and a fan blowing on my while I am myLotting and one while I am sleeping. The kids got a slip and slide from their grandma today, so we will be out using it sometime this weekend.

The heat is killing me and I am from a tropical island and I am crying about it. So I can just imagine others that see all seasons. I sweat like no tomorrow. The only good thing is that I am losing the weight. They say that this will be an active hurricane seasons so I guess we are feeling the heat before the rain comes. But when it is like this there are none stop rain when it begins. Even a earthquake was felt in some part of town today. Can you imagine those who bleach in the Caribbean and African countries who always have to wear long sleeve now they are sweltering.

I am dealing with the heat by staying in a nice warm air-conditioned cafe. I still go outside often (I have to get there, don't I?) and it's a bit of a walk from the bus stop, but to beat the heat I'm staying inside where the air conditioning is.

Yes, it's very important to keep hydrated with Water during the heat! We've got the box fans going right now because the weather has seemed to give us a small break. Since we've gotten our pool, we've only been able to use it once or twice! lol. :-) Thank you for responding!

I only go out when I need to.. When I do ride, it is very cool in the vehicle that I am in. Mostly, I go out in the evenings, when the sun has went down some.. But mostly, I am indoors, staying away from the heat. Me and the heat, just don't seem to get along..

I hear ya on that one! When I do have to go out, I try to do all my errands at the same time and usually after the sun goes down as well. I really enjoy driving to work at night and being able to have the windows down. Only on the really hot days do I enjoy going to work where they have central air. lol

I love the heat as I am cold a lot of the time, if I am in a room with people everyone will be really warm and I will be normal temperature, so I like the heat. I wish there were more sunny days that I could spend sun bathing on the beach getting a tan. All my friends can leave the house for a couple of hours get a bit burned or a bit of a tan and I get nothing =(

On Friday I went walking for 2-3 hours and I got so burnt. The sun didn't even feel like it was that hot, I was so surprised when I got home and seen the tan lines. I'm so glad that I put sun screen on my kids, but I didn't think to put it on myself!

It hasnt been too bad here this week. I think we are making up for the fact that it was like 100 degrees the week before last. I noticed it is like 117F in some places in California. I pray we dont get any of that heat.
