The magic plate

It could be a magical plate - Just a plate.

Once upon a time you went on a holiday, it was the best holiday of your life and before you had to come home you decided to take a trip to the local market to pick up some souvenirs. On one of the stalls you come across, you see a beautiful plate, it has the most amazing patterns and colours on it and you really want it. The stall keeper sees your interest in the plate and tells you it is a magical plate and if you buy it you will never go hungry. For the plate comes from a time long ago when aladin made a wish from his genie in the lamp, he wished for the plate for the family of one of his good friends so that they would never have to go hungry again they were very poor. Of course you do not believe in the story but it adds to the charm of the plate and you haggle him down to a good price!"Congratulations! The plate is yours, whenever you are hungry just wish on the plate and whatever meal or food you desire will be appear". You take your plate and then it is time to go and pack your bags to go home, you forget the stall keepers words until you are home and you unpack it from your suitcase, you feel a bit hungry and so think to yourself "why not, no one is around" and you wish on the plate, just for a laugh, you wish for a bunch of grapes. Lo and behold a bunch of grapes appears on your plate! So tell me, now you know that the plate is magic and the stallkeepers words are true, what is the first meal that you would wish for? Remember you can have anything your heart desires, so wish for the wildest foods you like!!

Kleliftiko would be my choice which comprises of really tender lamb on a bed of rice with vegatables and roast poattoes with a Greek feta cheese salad. It is delicious, This would be followed closely behind by a traditional roast beeff dinner with lots of Yorshire pies and gravy, yummmmmmm. Ellie :D

Really good to have a plate.. Initial reaction would be that, i will save a lot of money to my family.. no need to buy the groceries.. no bills.. but this happiness is short lived, when i restrict this enjoyment to myself.. Certainly i will not lend this plate to any one, but will take the magical plate to the areas where the poor are finding hard times to have a square meal, once in a day.. I will make sure i visit the hamlets, make food appear, in the plate, and distribute it to the poor and needy. One thing, i must look.. if i do this magical thing.. before all the poor and starving people, then they will loot the plate from me.. so i will make lot of food and eatables appear in the plate.. while in my house and will take them in a truck.. and distribute to the needy..

Wow.. That would be nice to have a plate like this. Especially when you really are wanting a dish that most of the time you cannot afford due to the high cost of food, etc. these days. I think I would wish for some shrimp and lobster. Shrimp because I can never get enough, and Lobster because it is one of my favorite foods that I seem to never be able to get enough of. Honestly, that would be a Great find indeed. But I doubt there is such a thing unfortunately.

I haven't tried too many different cuisines and actually liked them all, but the one thing I'd love to have more often and just can't afford is crab legs! I'd probably wish for a plate of crab legs with some melted butter, and when they're gone, wish for another!

I would wish for my grandmothers blueberry pie. Now that is something that I have not had in a long time to the point i would love to have that on the plate. Then after that what would be the next thing that you would like to eat?

okay lets see I think it would be jumbo shrimp with pasta and tomato sauce, and for dessert my favorite flavor of ice cream which would probably be chocolate mint and a few nice cookies to go with it and a nice tall glass of ice tea with a sprig' of mint in it. hows that for a first try at a magical plate? So I may order the same for my next meal.

I would choose picnic on a plate,I adore finger food and bits and bobs ...so a snacky type pinicky thing would do me just fine. Its great if you go to a party or a wedding ..and its all just things that are easily eaten rather than a full blown meal.

Filet minion, lobster, country style green beans, and baked potato with butter, sour cream, and chives. Then I would follow that up with a chocolate mouse pie. At least that is what sounds really good to me at this particular moment. I would eventually over time sample things from all over the world.

Well hopefully more than one food can appear at a time...if so, for me it would be steak and pizza. Now somebody slap me if that wouldn't be close to heaven.

Can I just go and say to the plate "I wish for the most delicious food in the world" so I won't have to really think hard. Any food would be good for me. I also would like to wish for something like "most delicious food in this and that country" so I would have a lot of variety. Have a nice day!

It would have to be the biggest, rarest slab of prime rib ever and a potato with ALL the fixins. Cholestrol be darned!

Crab and lobster. Two things I love but can't afford. Then it would have to be sugar-free, fat-free (calorie free) chocolate ice cream. If I got that -- that would become my most favoritest possession.

Hmm, well it depends on the time of day. I'd go for something i couldn't normally have (ie becuase it's rare to get it in the uk) or couldn't normally afford i think. Maybe some sushi, it's really expensive in the supermarkets, or something extravagant like lobster! Or i could chose my faveourite, minted lamb.
